Played the BC2 PC MP beta a bit, it was a lot of fun. If there's a Steam 4-pack bundle deal I'll be all over this.
P.S. There's an unrestricted 360 demo on XBLA also.

Been playing the Bad Company 2 demo on 360 since it came out. Fantastic game so far, a definite purchase. My only real complaint is squad size.

I'm a bit strapped for cash right now, however, a generous friend has pre-ordered this for me through Steam. I should be playing the beta sometime yet tonight. I'm really excited for this game and I'm glad to hear you have such a positive experience with the beta thus far.

Gameplay tips:-
* Friendly fire is off in Hardcore mode, so obviously you can be run-over by friendly tanks and TK'ed.
* If you spot enemies, paint them by pressing Q. You get assist bonuses if they're killed by other team members.
* Playing as Medic or Engineer classes are primo for ranking up quickly.
* The Auto-shotgun (Saiga) is a medic's best friend.
* Remember to throw down your medkit or ammo pack for team mates if you're a Medic or Assault class respectively.
* If you're on the attacking side and half your team are camping snipers (Scout class) who're making no attempt to advance with everyone else, you will lose.
* Try to get into a squad who're actually trying to accomplish something. I'd only team up with camping snipers if the only other option is the lone prick who does nothing but camp at the UAV station.
Performance and control tweaks:-
* HBAO incurs a sizeable performance hit and isn't all that noticeable when enabled.
* To force DX9 mode open up settings.ini located in C:\Users\[username]\Documents\BFBC2Beta. Change DxVersion=Auto to =9.
N.B.:- AA is exclusive to DX10/11.
* Disable mouse smoothing.
Auto pretty much runs the game in DX11 mode regardless of whether your hardware supports it. Whatever features aren't supported by your video card will be disabled, because that's how DX11 works in general - it's backwards compatible with DX9.0c/10/10.1.

I'd wait until Nvidia bring their GF100 line to the market, if I were you. Those 58xx cards are priced a leeeetle high at the moment. AMD's enjoying being the sole DX11 presence in the market right now. Once Nvidia releases its answer to the RV870, prices should get more competitive all 'round.
