I think it's cool that Heroes is free while people must pay for and look at ads in 2142.
Cool as Ice.

It's free, so I'll definitely give it a shot.
BTW, there is a Friends system, so share your names here!
Mine is, of course, Aerothorn.
That said, I'm not sure about this "no changing classes for characters" thing. Still, there's 4 slots you can have one of every character (plus an extra).

User: SubEffect.
Hero1: Commando JohnySuave.
Hero2: Soldier FierceFritz.
I'll let you guess which sides they are on.

Initial Impressions:
Good fun, a pleasant diversion. That said, 3 classes, 3 maps and 3 vehicles leaves it feeling light enough that I don't see this being a long-term multiplayer solution - there just isn't enough breadth. Though of course, free's free, so not really fair to compare it to other BF games.
In its favor, it feels more like BF 1942 than the later games in the series, and for all it mechanistic improves I felt BF2 really lost the sort of ridiculous fun that BF 1942 epitomized. This has that back, to a degree.

It's free, I'm in.
EDIT: Creating heroes, I'm mostly seeing this text: "There was an error creating your hero, please try a different name for you hero."

played the beta, it was bad.

Tried it on my laptop, runs like shit. My desktop is better, so if I can beat 30 fps on it, I am in.

Giving this a try against my better judgement. If this thing turns out to suck you will all pay.
Username is dethtoll.

Spent about 30 minutes trying to get on a server with no luck. Fuck this game.
