Adventure games are another genre that would work really nicely.
Hells yea. And pixel hunt would be so much easier, i'd just slam my whole hand on the damn thing!

There are far worse reasons to avoid Oblivion. My personal opinion: worse than GenGaming, it's like pinching a beautiful model in the ass as you pass her by only to find out that she's just a very lifelike blow-up doll that proceeds to fart in your face and then fly out the window. -5/20
Pretty much my typical day right there :|

Seriously. Look at what happened here. You are the last one to demand anyone to leave.
*Off topic; I'm sorry*Dethtoll, for some reason you behave like this forum is your party and you get to make up the rules. This is not the case, this is a public forum aimed at people who would like to discuss games. You partake in this discussion somewhat, but you also seem very focused on your personal opinions and grudges regarding other members. This is very destructive for the discussion and forum itself.
If a person makes a valid point, agree or leave it, but don't drag ongoing, personal, cross-threaded shit into it, the post doesn't warrant such a response.
If a person makes a stupid point, explain to them why they are being stupid. Don't just tell them they are. Explain why they are. If you can't don't post.
Thanks in advance.

Please explain why it's shit. I'm curious.
EDIT:
On Topic:
Battleheart's price is dropped to $1 this Saturday...

Because you're wrong. You're so wrong, so off-base, that it's not even worth replying to. And you're one to scold me about grudges (which I don't have) considering this isn't your first time with the "YOU MISBEHAVIN' LAD" bullshit.

Oh, now I get it. Sorry to disturb your highness with my ignorance. I am wrong wrong wrong. Now I get it.
Please read your responses to Piglick and Pemptus in this thread and point out how my assertion of your cross-thread grudges and pretending to own the place does not apply.
Also, what did you contribute to the topic in the thread?
june gloom on 25/2/2011 at 22:12
So basically you're saying that every thread exists in a vacuum, and the actions of a person in one thread should have no bearing on how they are responded to in another thread, do I have that right? Piglick trolling me pretty hard (he's since apologized, so that's cool) in the music thread shouldn't matter in this thread? Good to know. Why don't you follow that idea and stop giving me shit just because you don't like the things I may say?
And don't even begin to condescend to me with the high horse crap. Just because you're wrong doesn't make me king of the fucking world, it just makes you wrong.
PS I was joking in my reply to Pemptus, though I can see why it'd be easy to misinterpret.

On the vacuum: at its core yes. I can see that you don't get that, since your behavior clearly indicates as such.
This forum is divided in subsections and rightly so. For everyone there are some topics of great interest and some of no interest at all. And even within generally interesting subsection there will be some topics that are of no interest. In short: Not everyone reads everything, why should they?
If within a topic you feel the need to add something to the discussion, it'll only really add something if people can understand what you are on about. Be clear about it. Don't expect people to magically know that on page 23 in another thread on a wildly differing topic you said something clever or had words with someone or whatever. Chances are that others following the discussion won't know.
The wonderful thing about the forum is that you can easily refer to other topics, so if you feel the need to refer happenings elsewhere, please do.
-
The wide range of topics on this forum has another effect: For everyone there will be topics that are of no interest to them. This is nothing strange, it is a given.
But for some reason, you and some others feel the need to aggressively attack such topics. Amnesia being an example in your case. But even in this thread, lead by Eva you felt the need to emphasize the fact that you don't fully share interests with Shadowcat. Why do such things need to be emphasized? If you don't care about a topic don't get involved in the discussion about it. There are plenty of topics going around that you do care about. And it's not like there is a limit on the number of threads.
So basically you are being aggressive for the hell of it.
Quite often these two issues meet, the Shadowcat topic again being an example. You are being aggressive without reason and without reference. This kills the discussion. Suddenly the thread is no longer just about the topic but now it is also about your personal dislikes. People don't come to General Gaming to discuss your personal dislikes.
Then there is your tendency to attempt sarcasm. Many a times you fail miserably. Mainly because you assume we all know you, in great detail. Sure I know some things about you, you are a prolific poster, a Valve Fanboi and a MGS* advocate, but I -and I assume I'm not alone- don't bother to remember all the little details. Sarcasm only really works if people know that the opposite is true. Obscure details and sarcasm don't work well together.
On itself failing to be sarcastic isn't that much of a problem. But in the light of your aggressive stance towards certain topics, failed sarcasm will only emphasize your bitter attitude (real or not).
You claim to actually attempt to make a positive remark in your response to Pemptus. But with your prior posts there is very little chance people will pick up on it. Sure in hindsight you see how it could be misunderstood, but it would be a lot better if you thought about that before you press Submit.
TLDR: No I'm not wrong. And you need to be aware of the aggressive attitude you project. It's very destructive.

A guide to posting style and clarity with a dash of pop psychoanalysis. How cute. You wrote all that up with the idea that I'd give a shit.
Your wishy-washy 'we're not here to discuss personal opinions especially if they're negative' horseshit that you trot out every time you address me does more damage to discussion than a thousand snarky posts. What do you want, RPS requotes?
Personalities. People have them. Including me. Get used to it, or ignore it. Either way, don't come crying to me just because you think I'm such a meanie. Especially when I'm hardly alone in being snarky, so why single me out?
