I don't care about you or other people having negative or positive opinions, please do have opinions.
But within a forum such as this, I object to people having opinions which they refuse to discuss. Yet which they proclaim loudly and aggressively in a dismissive manner. Your stance at times approaches bullying. And I will point this out to you untill you figure this out yourself.
In a public discussion personal opinions aren't a bad thing persé. But acting like they are fact, and treating anyone who disagrees to a 'over your head'-airplane picture or to a short and unsubstantiated 'get out' is just disruptive. No matter how much this is your 'personality'.
In order to have a productive discussion you need to communicate, not dictate. Most of us are not here to honor your personality, we're just here to discuss games.
Act your age.

If you don't care then why do you persist in telling me what I can say and how I say it? It's pretty obvious I find most of your tl;dr nonsense to be a load of roast bawww in crysauce with a glass of whine. You're also conveniently forgetting that I can and do have good conversation here. It just doesn't happen often because most of the more reasonable people have either left or don't post much. But of course you pretend otherwise because it undermines the whole DETHTOLL IS SUCH A MEANIE story you keep telling yourself.
Seriously, give up, and stop trying to be the behaviour police. Or at least quit singling me out when almost nobody on this entire fucking forum is a saint.

Its just that you are in everyones face all the time dude, I'd really take the time and think about addink's posts here before you stiffen your back. He is right you know.(also eloquently spoken) I dont see how you think some of your behaviour is justifiable. You can post good things, I have read them, but every second one of your posts seems to be along the lines of "Fuck off your wrong haha get out". Please think about these things before dismissing them as shithawks flapping in the wind.
We care because we love these forums and dont find it productive or particularly enjoyable when half the threads turn into GTFO diatribes.

The reason I'm 'singling you out' is because you are probably the most prolific posters on this forum. You post in just about any thread whether you have something so say or not. And basically your style of posting sets a tone that is often aggressive and dismissive. Seriously: read you first couple of your posts in this thread and try to imagine what people think of you.
Anyone who's looking for an open discussion won't be encouraged to join in. Which is a bloody shame because that is only purpose GenGaming should serve.
Sure there is a time and place for friendly joking, bickering and banter but for that you need to have a friendly setting first. Calling people obtuse because they didn't know your personal preferences by heart is not the way to create it. And sadly that is your style, no matter how much try to deny that.
Another reason I'm 'singling you out' is that you have shown many times that you are indeed able to make interesting coherent contributions to the discussions at hand. Which leaves me wondering why you feel the need to post all the time, instead of when you've got something to contribute.

Dethy, you and make have our spars at times but, for the most part, I do enjoy them as just good banter. That's why dont take it as a personal attack when I say I have to agree with addink and PigLick here - you do come off as considerably more "aggressive" and "intense" (?) than many other posters who do the same stuff kinda stuff. Like your posts in Dear Esther thread, where pretty much everyone unanimously agreed you were being an unjustified dick and called you out on it.
Yea we understand your points, but it's not about the points, it's how you convey them. There's the "pulling each other's dick for shits and giggles" and then there's "fuck you go die in a fire," and you do tend to lean towards the latter a bit too often for it to be just shrugged off by some. And if you can't see why it bothers so many people here, maybe its time to take a step back and re-examine your "moral compass" (or whatever you call the that tells you "is this too dickish?") ?
Again, I dont mean to be jumping on a "LETS HATE DETHTOLL" bandwagon (I remember you complaining about that just some week ago ironically :P); i'm merely just wanting to let you know that it's not just addink and PigLick who find your posting style a bit overboard at times. You're definitely one of the bigger contributors to TTLG so itd be a shame to lose you in a fit of rage :D

I can't change who I am, I don't want to, and I'm not going to. If someone is wrong, I will correct them. If someone is stupid, I will tell them. If someone is engaging in tinhattery or entitlement-whoring I will explain to them that they're a load of useless bloody loonies and that perhaps they should stop.
Obviously there are people whose opinion I respect- like yours, even if we don't always agree. And there are people whose opinion I don't give a fuck about. There's people who fall in between- sometimes they're fucking retarded, sometimes you can reason with them. Generally who falls in what category tends to hinge on whether or not they're capable of holding a real conversation. Some people just can't fucking do it, and I don't waste my time trying to. I don't call people idiots without having a good reason.
Maybe I'm more blunt than most some people here. I recognize that not indulging anyone doesn't do me many favors.
But points have been made so I'll be on my way now.

But I don't see how what I said was a middle finger to anyone. I'm just explaining, yet again, why I do what I do. And accusing me of not having any empathy wounds me, sir. I do care. I'm just selective in who I care about.
Maybe I should just make everybody happy and leave TTLG. It's pretty clear that most of the sensible people don't bother anymore and all that's left are people who don't think much of me, so why stay?
