That looks very nice indeed. I must admit I was very slightly disappointed that it was based on the remake, but it's still very good. Must download the trailer now ...

This looks great!

That's cool. I also noticed that another team is doing a Babylon 5 Total Conversion for FS2 as well. So many projects going on all over the place ... hard to keep up with them all.
edit: I also noticed someone made a mod for the original series mentioned somewhere ... at least, that's my best interpretation for "BSG-TOS from 1978". Not a total conversion, but since someone asked about it, I thought it was interesting to note.

This looks quite promising. Sadly I doubt the Freespace engine can replicate the relatively realistic ship motion in BSG - inertia, flippy spinning fighters etc. Something like I-War would be closer to the mark. Otherwise, very cool.

The thing with realistic physics is that they're not particularly fun. At least in I-War you only had to manage a relatively slow-moving corvette. Trying to maneuver a nimble fighter in close-quarters combat would be sheer hell.

This look exciting (yes, the older one would have been cooler) but I'm a little concerned about performance. They have one ship on screen, and are getting just over 30fps.
I don't know what the Freespace engine limits are, but it seems they are going over the reasonable limits a bit.

For the love of god, please tell me I'm not going to have to explain the difference between the frame rate of a game engine, and the frame rate of a video.

Well if you're still in the mindset of endless tight turns and everyone trying to get on each others tails, as combat in the simpler space-shooters invariably becomes then yes, kinda hard to do that with I-War. But allow for a different combat style in the first place and it's not "hell" at all. Just takes a little getting used to.
It's not the Biggest Issue ever, but the realistic motion in BSG is part of what makes the battle scenes so cool, and it's something I'd love to take control of. Those of you still thinking of ye olde BSG (seriously, drop the nostalgia and give the remake a chance) probably won't be so bothered on this point.

It does look cool. I just hope that the mission design will be of high quality - I've only seen season 1 of the series so far, but there don't really seem to be that many types of sortie that the FS2 engine could do. Or do the latest versions of the engine support atmospheric flight?
