Weird small-world story: my college roomate's sister's husband is the founder of boardgamegeek.com. Whenever they have a convention or something, the whole family becomes part of the organizers/reception.
I wasn't really so into boardgames until I started hanging out with them and realized just how ridiculously many games were actually out there, and how good they were even though I hadn't heard of many of them before then.
