A new bundle, this one is called the (
http://groupees.com/bemine) Be Mine Bundle and it contains a bunch of games that you might not have bought because while they look a bit interesting they're probably not worth the money. Well now you have a chance of getting them for almost NO MONEY! This is what's in the bundle:
The BallThis game is a BALL. I think. Not sure.
Sideway New YorkPlatformer with phat beats by Mr. Lif!
Wasteland AngelLooks like a poor man's Renegade Ops. Here's (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eg8yCImydZM) a video of TotalBiscuit playing it.
XoticLooks like some old X-Box game you might pick up at a fleamarket, only to put back down and never think of again. Here's (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=lfCEE1M90VE#t=63s) a video of some German guy playing it and saying "BAMMM" a lot.
BEEPI don't know WHAT THE BEEP this is!
Oh and the site doesn't work. I should point that out. At least it didn't work when I tried to log in and buy the bundle. Because there's too much traffic or something. Might be better in a little while. And it seems that you need to either sign up on the site, or have a Facebook or Twitter account to get the bundle. If you're not on Facebook or Twitter you're stuck in the past and the Be Mine Bundle doesn't want any of your business! Why don't you go play something on your Commodore 64 or call someone on your antiquated telephone with a rotary dial! Oh wait noone is going to answer because we're all on Facebook and playing the Be Mine Bundle and listening to Celldweller here in the 21st century. Suck on it. (

Bought it. Played a bit of Wasteland Angel, it's not bad. More Zombie Driver than Renegade Ops tho. Anyone want my Xotic Steam key? I'm not gonna play it.

Well, I might as well mention that I've got a Xotic and a The Ball key as well, if anyone wants 'em.
Out of the games, I've played... five minutes of The Ball. Last year. It's about a ball. An Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark sized ball. And there's monkeys. You get an achievement for crushing the monkeys with the ball. But primarily, the game is about rolling the ball. You must push and pull the ball from point A to point B, and the puzzle space in between those two points is what The Ball is apparently about. It's a... third-person platformer puzzle game played from a first-person perspective -- because the third person (or party) is, of course, the giant fucking ball, and not your avatar. There is probably some fun to be had by lolloping the ball into people's faces, but I haven't gotten that far yet.
I don't seem to have summarised that too well, I don't think. N'Al, some help? :(

Bought this as I had none of the games and I've had my eye on The Ball, Sideway, and BEEP for awhile. Nice to finally get a new bundle that isn't 'every indie game you already own'.

Nope, perfect summary. A+

Ok, I lied. Summary isn't that great (although you're right about the monkeys).
The Ball is a puzzler in the vein of Portal and - I'm guessing - Twin Sector, Q.U.B.E., etc. Instead of a portal gun or gloves you have a 'hammer gun', which lets you magnetically attract the large metal ball you stumble across very early on in the game, or 'hammer' it away from you.
The puzzles start out as simply switch-puzzles (i.e. there's some that have to be activated by you, others by the ball and so on), but the ball/ puzzles get some 'special abilities' later on, which makes things a bit more interesting: things such as low gravity or a magnetic ball with spikes, etc.
The whole game has a Mayan/ Mesoamerican aesthetic - quite nicely done in Unreal Engine - so you can probably guess where the story is going to go. Hint: dere be aliens.
Overall, I quite liked the game, since the puzzles varied quite nicely from level to level, so you didn't get bored (at least I didn't).
There's also four 'challenge rooms' in the game which pit you against the game's enemies in increasingly difficult waves. These are quite amusing too, but certainly not the meat of the game.
