I love the pic on front of the Thief Gold box followed closely by Thief 2 box art. They just say everything about Garrett at a glance. Does anyone know who designs and creates the images for the boxes?

RustMonkey though did quite a shabby work for TDS. Cutscenes weren't nearly as "masterpiecy" as in T1/2, some (like the final one f.e.) looked amateurish.

True... I remember thinking before the release of TDS that even if it isn't good then at least I'll get new RustMonkey cutscenes then it turned out that the cutscenes were quite probably the weakest part of the game :erg:.

the actual hand-drawn ones were perfectly good quality. It was the rushed-for-time in-game cutscenes that let it down.

The T3 cut scenes were definitely not up the the same standard as the T1/2 ones. I really didn't like the way Garrett looked or the fact that he seemed to look different in different scenes. I really enjoyed the artistic look of the cuts from T1/2. It's a shame they didn't stick with what worked.

Garrett has always looked different in different cutscenes. Probably due to the fact that sometimes he's a painting, and sometimes he's a silhouetted actor.

Yea I can accept the differences between the different types of cut scene techniques. What I'm talking about is his appearance in cut scenes in T3 that showed his face directly. Also the style of the cut scenes in T3 was completely different from those in T1 and T2. T3's scenes were not as artistic and lacked the quality of the earlier ones.

True enough. In some cutscenes Garrett looked damned near to being Fozzie Bear, for crying out loud (especially the meeting with the rogue Keepers in the graveyard of that Hammer place), and in some he looked like Generic TDS NPC 14. Or something.
It was remarkable enough that I remarked upon it, at any rate.
