What is your favorite game music in the following (feel free to add more) genres:
- techno / trance
- classical
- modern / new age
- rock
I like:
- the techno from System Shock 2
- the classical from Warcraft 3
- the classical-modernish music from Diablo 2
- I wish I could find that first piece from Splinter Cell

- techno / trance
- Deus Ex- classical
- Age of ConanCan't really comment on the other two. I'm not even sure what new age music is, and, while I'm very much into rock and metal, I just haven't found a game featuring that sort of soundtrack to leave a truly lasting impression in this regard.

yes and:
Shock2 as already mentioned and of course Stalker with all that scary ambient awesomeness by Mooze. I'm a sucker for moody pieces. Deus Ex has superb hooks, too.
Shadowman was great as well. From the typical moody synths score in the Wastelands to the funk in the prison level and the theme that reminds slightly of the Doors' The End when you sent one of the bosses packing in that prison. Oh and that not so very subtle Playrooms level score.
And all them Mario and Zelda musics in a league of their own.

I don't like the Sims for much else, but they have good jazz tracks. I like the jazz track in Civilization 2, also.
