First Unreal (that castle), then Far Cry (just for the detail and line-of-sight) and finally Oblivion (amazing textures). It's all been pretty much downhill since then, until I get a PC upgrade.
Gah, page three'd.

Yes, Love. Caught a peek at some material on this a few days back - I wouldn't have said the graphics were anything amazing, but the look of the thing is without doubt charming and somewhat warming to the soul.
In fact, the style reminded me of Bullfrog's Magic Carpet, only much improved.

I think Crysis currently has the best graphics. In fact it's so far ahead of every other game it occupies a seperate generation.
Also, more subjective and reverse sorted by time, Armed Assault, STALKER, Doom 3, Half Life 2, Morrowind, Outcast, Quake 2.

Lately, I've been impressed by Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Metal Gear 4.

In kind of a weird, quirky way - Little Big Planet for the PS3.
