Who was that that pulled a Batman on Garrett? I didn't like that, that's his move. Plus, nothing gets by Garrett, he'd be like, "stop trying to sneak away behind me, dude, I see you."

Well, the current theory is that it was Artemus who taught Garrett, so I guess he could sneak past him.

Yea, it was definatly Artemus that did it. I remember it happening in the [SPOILER]cutscene at Gamalls layer.[/SPOILER]

[spoiler]See, I thought it was AWESOME that Artemus did that. Garrett is definitely good, but no matter how good you are at something, there is ALWAYS someone better. Garrett learned his supernatural ability to hide in shadows from the Keepers (plus a bit of raw talent helped).
From the way Artemus acts and from the way he says things, I think Artemus was a lot like Garrett in his younger days. He's like the retired ninja master and Garrett is the cocky and bold student. I have no doubts that Artemus wasn't lying when he said he would have succeeded if his intent was to kill Garrett. So yeah, as much as I love Garrett, I had a huge grin when Artemus pulled that same move on Garrett and Garrett was just as surprised as the people he's done that to have been.[/spoiler]

Are we certain that Artemus taught Garrett or is it just the prevailing theory? Im trying to think back to Thief 1 & 2 and see if they mentioned who was responsible for training Garrett besides the Keepers, but my memory isnt the best. Also isnt Artemus the one who finds Garrett and talks to him in Thief 1 & 2? Being able to find Garrett would take a lot of skill Id say, so it didnt surprise me when Artemus did that Batman thing. Of course maybe Artemus wasnt the messenger in Thief 1 & 2, cant remember. Think Im starting to ramble so Ill shutup now. :cheeky:

No. Orland's behaviour later in the game makes that very unlikely... and she'd probably have killed Garrett too.
