My best moment was at the Endgame in Stonemarket Plaza. A thug had started killing everyone in sight and was fighting a city watch near where Gammal patrols. I was watching from the Old Quarter gate, and from my view it was hilarious. She killed the guard, put her sword away and said "Yup. I'm the only law of these streets. Ain't no-one gonna ever best me," just as one of Gammal's magic bombs flew on from behind the wall and blasted her in the head, killing her! Hilarious!

Wow, some of these are brilliant, pure gold!
Probably the best I've heard was from a non-combatant in the Clocktower who has stuff to steal. I ran up behind him and pick-pocketed him:
"By the... tis something foo-- I shalt find my brothers for thee! Did I hear a-- Hey, it must be a thief!
...
friend, don't do this"
:p if that's not easily distracted I don't know what is:rolleyes:

And Enforcer one...
I was in StoneMarket Plaza while the Enforcers were on my trail. I was wondering how to get past one of them when he suddenly spotted me and came running over. I freaked and ran away. I hid in the shadows, just waiting to hear him looking around for me. Nothing happend. I crept back and found him running against the wall, apparently 'stuck'. One of the guards, perhapes realizing that it was the
Enforcerwho'd been killing everyone (ha, fat chance), began shooting arrows at him one by one, as the Enforcer threatened him repeatedly. I waited around for a while, eager to see the Enforcer die, but eventually got bored and wandered off. I returned a while later to find the guard dead and the Enforcer wondering aimlessly around, looking for me again.
A walking statue one...
" Run and run and flee and DIE!!!...."
A guard one...
I was escaping from Pavelock Prison and was having a grand old time letting my fellow inmates go free, then get cut down by a guard. The guard killed the defenseless criminal, then boasted about how the poor guy was dead, but not HIM...
I actually have another one too...it was in Thief I but it's so funny I had to put it here:
It was during the very first mission, toward the end. I was up in the rafters, shooting arrows down at the guards assembled below. One ran over to the one that was just killed and exclaimed, "Are you OKAY? No....of course you're not...' in this huge, dramatic tone... I loved it ;-)
And another guard one...
A certain guard was blocking my path from Old Quarter to the Docks. The way he was positioned I couldn't even creep around him, so I decided to distract him with a moss arrow to the face.
Once I was behind him and safely hidden, the choking stopped and he started looking for me (as any sensible bloke would do once he'd nearly been strangled). But after 10 seconds or so he gave up, saying that it 'must have been nothing...'
So, a bundle of moss just decided to come flying out of nowhere and bean him in the face. Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

BTW, did anyone brought that wine to widow Moira? Though she looked very lonesome, I wasted no time for her. And I'm curious if she says or does something funny when Garret brings that to her...
She basically just thanks you. I was hoping there would be a payment involved, but nope... I wonder if it's possible to kill her...
Tch on 13/7/2006 at 23:51
There is a payment, as long as
you don't steal the special pension she's supposed to live on. A bottle of valuable wine and an extra thank-you note thanking you for bringing the wine to her when she needed it are left in your apartment.
But that's been covered in several places elsewhere on this forum.

when the barmaid says
"millie said they got a position available down at the docks, but when i asked if it was cooking or sweeping, i just got a funny look."
i just realized this was probably refering to prostitution lol

Thief Gold:
Song of Caverns:
After read an opera manuscript(which is rather a wasted paper, methinks), Garrett said, "People really pay to see this."
I feel it just what I want to say. :cheeky:
Undercover:
Hammering Hammerites in that mission was just such a pleasure. I stand right in front of him, throw, pick up, throw, pick up....... he don't even seemed to suspect me even when he died. Then I hoards a lot of hammers in Novice Rooms, and snipe every Hammerite, that's just so fun!

OMG, again, posted on the wrong place......
Next time, I should use advanced search...:grr:

I was in "end of the bloodline", and just for the heck of it, I decided to shoot that sleeping guard with a noisemaker arrow. When it hit him, he got propelled of of the bed and stuck in the wall, and he didn't wake up!
In the same mission, I figured out a way to kill people: I was in the kitchen, and the cook saw me. He started running away, and just happened to be in front of a locked door I needed to pick. I right-clicked the door, and Garrett slid closer to it. But, the cook was between me, and the door, and then he was crushed between Garrett and the door!

I was allied with the Hammers, and I blackjacked one of those female rogues while the guards were chasing me. One of the Hammers saw all this and said: "What dost thou do there Garett? tis surely wicked". You bad boy you!

A Hammer said this to me after he slaughtered nearly everyone in Stonemarket Proper...and all I did was clean up his mess, carry the bodies into a safe hiding place
There are so many ROFL moments in Thief3...
One that happened just yesterday was after I accidently got a Guard's attention, he
KILLED an unsuspecting nearby townsfolk simply by withdrawing his sword :laff:
