My favourite moment so far was with the two lost miners. I decided to distract them with a handy barrell, so I threw it between the two of them and it bounced off the first one and straight into the other.
They both freaked out and started attacking the barrel. That was when I discovered that the barrels are explosive. As did the two miners.
Other than that, the random homicidal urges that seem to overtake certain criminal types in the City sections always have me in stitches. Many a time I've come out from a building to see a trail of blood and corpses stretching into the distance and civillians running around in circles screaming. Hilarious.

The first real laugh i had in Thief 3 was when i overheard my imposter in that little sidequest in Stonemarket. I strolled along with him to that armory, just to see if he was even capable of the job. Well he got open the door, then wandered about and had a very good self-reflection: "Maybe i went a bit over my head with this job" - just in the moment when i bonked him :joke:

Two favorite funny moments:
At the Overlook arriving upstairs in the Widow's suite with the three nobles, two of them chatting. The lady noble using the word "Quite!" every other time until the girl runs from the room screaming about it! (If anyone has a way to transcribe that conversation, I'd be grateful!)
And:
After the stone golems are on the loose in the City, I hear clanging and invective coming from one of the Watch. I observe as he round the corner (this was in Auldale) whapping away at the back of a golem, which in turn was utterly unconcerend and even paused to stretch, much to the fury of the watchman. I finally got the guards attention away from the golem so I could use my magic blackjack to shatter it to bits :)
Total side note question:
I never used the moss arrow on anybody's face because I assumed it would choke the person to death and I play with a no-kill style. Does it only knock them unconcious? And furthermore, how can you tell if someone is dead or knocked out? The little labels from Thief I and II are gone when you pick up a body...
Cheers!

I shot one in the face of a guard and he dropped his sword and started to do the choking action for a few minutes and couldn't do anything else. But he didn't go unconcious, a few minutes later he was back to normal. This was on Normal level play.

I was stealing a purse. I just thought to me 'well, that was easy money' when I heard the outcry:
"Stolen? And right from my belt?! The nerve!
That was just too good to be true. Since then I've made a point of stealing each and every purse I can see. The lines the victims say after the discovery lift my heart every time.
Also I still get a kick out of blackjacking guards. "I think I need more slee-..." BONK! is cracking me up every time. My usual procedere is to knock out every person in the level and then exploring with leisure.

I was in the Auldale, when I caught the slightest Glimpse of a Guard standing outside of one the unfrobbable doors. Just as I ducked into a shadow, a hooded Pagan male came around the corner, and closely passed the Guard I was avoiding.
The Guard perks up, and looks over at the Pagan and says:
"You know where I could get some good vegetables?"
I have no idea if that was intentional (on the part of the devs), but I almost spit my coffee all over my monitor.

I had a lot of fun timing my black jackings with speaches. I accidently hit a Hammerite at the perfect time. I was following one in the court yard when he stopped at a statue to pray. It struck me really funny when the Hammerite when "The Builder's hammer" *thump*
oh and all of the horrible ways the guards fell over backward. Apparently Garret's blackjack shatters people's spines. Had a lot of laughs seeing guards bent in half laying there...then jumping on them...that can't be good for them.

:laff:
You didn't know?
Garret's obtained a blackjack upgrade shortly after the events in Thief 2 that causes Osteogenesis Imperfecta upon contact! :p

I've just had my best...
Day 3, with a fat City Guardsman patrolling. A citizen walks past, looks at him, and says "Looking for the bakery, are you?"
