SWAT 4 (3 too, but a litte old now) and GRAW are nice tactical shooters imo, and the best way to control them is using speech recognition (i quickly found it annoying to give orders through menus).
I've just installed GRAW2, gonna be interesting to see how it compares to the first.
STALKER is one of the best games ever created, shouldnt be missed by anyone.

ArmA 2. What else do you need?

Operation Flashpoint is still the king

Or just wait for the Cold War Rearmed OFP1 remake to be made ArmA2 compatible.

At some point soon I should give ArmA online a serious try. I tried to log onto a couple of servers this week, but most kicked me off because I have this mod that changes the skybox for better-looking weather. Guess that makes me an evil cheating scumbag.

I was at Wal Mart tonight and saw that Bad Company had just got a price cut down to 20 bucks. So, I went with that. So far all I gotta say is...wow. It's basically a modernized version of Kelly's Heroes, which is one of my favorite war films. The writing is at times hysterical and the missions provide a decent amount of freedom. The destruction isn't as precise or massive as Red Faction but it feels less cartoonish. Shoot a grenade at a wall and you'll see plaster and brick go flying, but the hole will be reasonable and the entire structure won't implode on itself.
The online multiplayer is also just epic, as to be expected from a Battlefield game. While not as "tactical" as I had originally wanted it's definitely worth 20 bucks and at times has that Flashpoint spirit of things. I'd recommend it. :thumb:
