What I see as difficult is that someone would need to verify the completeness of the whole package. Another problem (maybe) I have is that different websites used different filenames for the same missions. So how does the end user really know if he has all the missions? Additionally some metadata would be nice, like ratings, full titles etc.
Yes, i thought about that, almost impossible to know if i have them all. I Only have English FMs too btw.
I Have all zip files renamed to the fm names.
I dont know, but i upload one torrent for thief 1 and 2, and a second torrent for thief 3.
Then feel free to download. If anyone download it and place all missions on an FTP as you said, or another solution it would be good. I don't know how long i can keep the torrent alive either. I have the missions arranged in many folders on my computer, so i made a copy of them all and placed them all missions in the same folder. One folder for each game. I don't want two copies of them for too long.

I think this would be a good idea in general. However I'm not sure about how many people actually want to have all the missions. As for me I'm just downloading them all (mainly from taffersparadise). This means if everything runs well I would not need the torrent. But I think it's a good idea and I might even take part and seed for a while :)

Ok, it wont hurt anyway. I tried several hours to upload it to pirate bay, but now it says wrong code. I'll have to try another tracker tomorrow. Any suggestions?

I just had the idea that we would need a central place to store the information about all missions. The best way to do this should be simply a wiki page with all missions listed (one page per game?). The entries would contain the official mission title, maybe the official filename, the current version of that mission and finally links to all sites that currently host the newest version (or links with the version number written next to them).
I see no other way to do this as many sites use different filenames and also seem to have different versions of the FMs. For the end-user (like me) it is absolutely impossible to know whether I have the current versions of the FMs or not.

A good thing about the torrent is that you don't need to download every mission. Just leave all files initially as skipped and download missions as you want them. That way you always have links to the most recent versions of the FMs, provided that somebody updates the torrent regularly.

Does anyone know who used to update the Thief wiki and why did they stop ? and does anyone have any idea as to whether Thief wiki is/was an important source of info for Thief fans.....is it worth investing the time to get it up to date ?

It's Sxerks. But I guess anybody can join this wiki and contribute.
What about The Circle, btw? No updates there for a long time.

The existing Thief Wiki is a valuable resource. I use it regularly. Anyone can edit it, so it shouldn't be hard to keep up to date if a few people will chip in some time occasionally. There is already a (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144205) list of fan missions, including their filenames (where known). That should be useful for getting started.
