According to some walkthroughs, you can kill him stealthily.;) :)

I haven't finished Hitman 3 or 4, but the ending of Hitman 2 made me seriously want to find the devteam and beat their faces in.
As far as NOLF2 goes, I always viewed the stat development as a bonus rather than a requirement for beating the game. There wasn't any part that I remember that couldn't be beaten by a skill-less character.

Hitman 2 can be finished in stealth, or close to it. I forget if you can kill the guy in the confessional without having to talk to him first.

Having seen NOLF as just a first person shooter, I was pleasantly surprised to discover it had stealth as an option, so it never really bothered me that it wasn't implemented to be usable all the time. That said, where it is obligatory, that was extremely annoying. NOLF1 pisses all over NOLF2 anyway (imo) - it has a tighter, more interesting plot, better script and dialogue and more varied and fun levels. Plus stealth is more rewarding in NOLF1 with all the stats at the end, most of which they stripped out of NOLF2 iirc.
"Make sure your men stay out of sight. We don't want to ruin our surprise, do we?"
"Yes sir! I mean, no sir! I mean, yes to the first part and no to the second part, SIR!"
"Shut up."

Alright assholes. You've convinced me. I'm going to get myself a copy of NOLF now. Should give me something to do between my Half-Life marathon and when Clear Sky comes out August 29th.

NOLF is the only game where I really don't mind watching the interminably long cutscenes, because they're just so damn funny.

If you can make it past NOLF's version of "Trace the Courier", you're more tollerant of it's faux stealth gameplay than me.
Play NOLF for the story and humor, not the gameplay. And pay attention to the subtle details, like the number on the side of the sub. NOLF is the only game I've ever played that made me laugh myself to tears. Hated trying to play through the forced stealth levels.

Any game that has you tottering around Morocco in kinky boots a bee-hive hairdo, submachine gun and Warholian inspired mini-skirts is, quite obviously NOT placing a lot of emphasis on stealth. (Does this orange jumpsuit make my ass look big?)
That said, sneaking could be helpful at times. That also said, I did use cheats for a couple of the boss battles. If I wanted mayhem I'd buy that style of game, thanks.
