F3 should take place on East Coast, specifically in Washington D.C.
I like the new artwork (

In other news, they hired Liam Neeson to make voiceovers of hero's father.
No mention about Ron Perlman so far.
Glad you're the first to share all that news in this thread.

Secondly, if I recognise the actor behind the voice then immediately I'm dragged out of the game and back into the real world. Patrick Stewart in Oblivion is a great example. Instead of thinking "ah, there's King Leopald" I instead thought "there's Patrick Stewart! I bet he cost them a fair bit."
I find that that effect depends a lot on the quality of script and acting. I did think 'Picard' in Oblivion, but that was largely because the emperor had little discernible characterisation, since Stewart is a good actor otherwise I wouldn't write him off as a voice actor because of Oblivion. I recognised Mitch Pileggi's voice in Planescape: Torment but accepted he was Dak'kon rather than Skinner because the script was good and his voice acting fitted the part beautifully. For that matter I recognised Grey DeLisle's Bloodlines character(s) (Jeanette/ Therese) pretty much immediately as being the same voice as Nalia and Viconia from BG2, again it didn't matter as the script and acting itself were good.

Okay, yeah, but it looks like you didn't read ANY of them, or at least didn't make any connection between the topic of discussion (celebrity voice acting) and the recent announcement of Liam's hiring.

No, mea culpa, I was fully attended to quarrels about music and other "issues".
Still, Washington people, Washington D.C. ! :D

Well, it
does appear to be taking a different flavor than the first two. That fallout homepage music just doesnt seem to fit Pipboy for some reason.

Who's responsible for the music? It doesn't sound too Fallout-y, nor does it sound like Jeremy Soule. Actually, it DOES sound a lot like Gothic's Kai Rosenkranz. Which, as everybody who's heard the Gothic III soundtrack would probably agree, wouldn't be bad news.

Yeah, just like I thought 'Manetti' whenever I heard Chris Penn in GTA:SA
