Somewhere far the fuck away from Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.

What i really want is an incredibly brutal, graphic FPS/RPG hybrid with ground breaking dust particle physics/lighting, tumble weed...and funny as fuck
Not sure about the concept art, i know its post nuclear but that gloomy look can get very tired after a while.

So you really don't want a Fallout game, then.

In terms of funny pop & sex jokes, I think it was already F2 which has moved far from the very original Fallout canon.

What other direction can it go these days? (that would sell)
All im asking is fallout 2 in full 3d, first person, endless miles of desert with scattered towns, keep all the stats, perks...
I personaly love the combat in the classic fallouts, i just dont think the majority of people are going to have the patience for that these days.
my top five games
1.system shock 2
2.fallout 2
3.blah blah blah...4. 5.

So you let your desires be led by the masses?
I don't care if that's the only thing that will sell. If they do make it into Oblivion with guns and deserts like you seem to want, they shouldn't be calling it Fallout 3.
Rogue Keeper on 5/6/2007 at 13:21
Why not, they are LICENSED to do so. :cheeky: Fallout is a massively popular franchise.
No, really Jeshibu, how should your Fallout 3 look like then? What's wrong with open-ended world like in Oblivion?

Out of interest: Which sequels that came years after their predecessors and made considerable changes did you consider to be 'true' to their series? I'm curious about how much change people accept.
The one example I can think of would be Ultima V --> Ultima VI --> Ultima VII. Each game kept a lot of elements but built on others and changed yet others. The jump from U6 to U7 was quite big in some ways, yet people accepted U7 as a 'real' Ultima (in spite of point'n'click conversations and a dumbed down - and badly implemented - combat system). However, most people would agree that Ultima VIII failed in being a 'real' Ultima.

the servers seem to be overloaded with people either waiting for the trailer, or they tried to put it up already and have been swamped. I can't get the fallout 3 page or the bethesda forums.

It seems that only RPG crowd is somehow sensitive to their canons. You don't see as many people complaining about Tiberium Wars not being enough C&C. Althouth they've been fed with other branches of that trademark, so the technological jump is not so shocking.
