Perlman + Ink Spots are delivering.

That was pretty neat. It captures the style of the old fallouts rather well, even if the power armor isn't 100% true to the originals.
But I'm wondering if that's prerendered or ingame footage. Cept for the dashboard, the textures are a little low res for something designed for use in a videoclip, and the polycount is on the low side as well. I'm not saying it's bad, just makes me curious.

Apparently it's in the game engine using game assets, but it's not "ingame" as such. It might have been rendered offline.

That's ingame, it's the same engine powering Oblivion, which makes it much much more likely that it's first person, which I'm actually eager for.

It uses the game's assets and engine, but it's a scripted sequence, so it's technically not in-game.
Regardless, colour me excited!

People are complaining that there isn't any actual gameplay. Personally, I'd say that if the game is 1 1/3 years away, then I'm perfectly happy with this. It's a teaser, for crying out loud! And how much can change in 1 1/3 years? I remember extremely cool looking preview videos for Invisible War, and the end result looked nothing like 'em.

YESSSS!!! I dig the teaser. I'LL HAPPILY SHUT UP NOW. WOOOHOO.

I hope the majority of hardcore Fallout fans react the same as you, foldy.

That was a rather pessimistic parallel considering how happy you are with this. ;)

I think it might be in-engine realtime rather than rendered offline. The occasional framerate chug towards the beginning points to that.
But anywah, it's awesome. And the fact that what we see ingame might look like that makes it even moreso. If Bethesda can do conversations worthy of the originals (and hopefully at least keep the character creation portion of SPECIAL), I'll be giddy.
