I suppose crime system in oblivion were you got fined even for stealing a spoon in front of a NPC will be like in for fallout 3
Unless there's a way to KO them plus not getting seen doing as well but leaving them knocked out on the ground could alert NPC's that find them

A review that I read (Official Xbox) mentioned that NPCs didn't take notice of the dead, not sure if that applies to the unconscious..but I would assume that it does.
The comment was made in regards to sneaking around at night getting stealth kills. The reviewer was a bit put off that faction NPCs would walk by the body without reacting or becoming 'alert'.
As an aside, the game scored a '10'. I doubt that surprises anyone given the hype and mag in question.

The not paying attention to death thing is absolutely confirmed- one of the streams had a player killing a woman's husband, then talking to her. Her response was something like "hello, nice to meet you" while standing over the body of her husband...

Damn, that sucks. You would figure such AI issues would have gotten more attention, even if this does seem fairly common across various genres. When it comes to immersion, aware NPCs can make all of the difference in the world IMO.

"Limited Edition" strategy guides are another popular recent trend, nothing new.
I.e. they may double as artbook or something. They have to entice buyers somehow, since free guides on the internet have eaten into their market share. Similarly to how game publishers try to encourage more pre-orders with exclusive in-game content; they loathe the 2nd hand market.

And the information definately won't be available on your average walkthrough/discussion site for free after a week or two. Posted by players who never even glanced at the guide.

Hintbooks have pretty much lost their pusrpose with expansion of online gaming communities, but they're still a nice collectible if you're into such kind of things.
And I have reserved (not ordered) my Collector's Edition few days ago, but I'm still undecided if I want the stuff for like 84 Euro...

Fair enough, this is just the first one I've seen. I mean, I'm a fag for artbooks, but thankfully here they tend to bundle the art book and hint guide together for a much reduced price after about 6 months / a year.

The railway rifle in the gameplay footage sounds like a train horn when fired :laff:
