That trailer was impressive, I hope that's what the gameplay will really be like. Hehe, the pilot was pretty noob-ish. Also why on earth did his Mech have such a huge explosion, does it have a nuclear core or something?:wot:

I think it looks great (the new one). One question, when is 4 being freely distributed? Anyone have a better answer than 'soon'?

I don't think any definite date has been given.

Actually, yes. The combat models are powered by a fusion generator, whereas civilian versions use other types of power such as conventional fossil fuel engines.

Wouldn't a damaged fusion reactor just hiss a lot and then release a lot of incredibly hot gas?
...actually, that's pretty much exactly what a damaged fission reactor would do too (in reality), so I guess cinematic licence is already well established on this one. :p
Koki on 13/7/2009 at 12:43
Well DUH? How can you have something nukular NOT explode when it breaks?
DDL on 13/7/2009 at 13:54
It would be nice, wouldn't it? Just once?
Say, a movie where some OMG NUKE-U-LAR ROBOT gets critically damaged and then just sits there being very very hot and very very toxic.
But no, it's "credit-card-sized atomic bombs power terminators" and so on. :(

ITT: discussions of realism in a thread about big stompy robots.

Big stompy robots don't actually violate physics, though. Common sense, sure, but they're still actually possible, albeit implausible.
But yeah, I see your point. Bring on the explodium! :p

Ones as big as in MW? I think they do, just by existing.
Then they start
walking.
