From the classic series? I haven't played 9 yet, but I am very partial to 4 and 5. 2 gets nostalgia points though.

From the X series, it's X4 or go home.

The Zero series peaked with the first one.

Don't care about the rest.

It was just revealed that this game is Mechwarrior Online, a free-to-play thing... and my interest level suddenly drops to zero. What a shame, I was hoping that this long-in-development title from an established studio would be more ambitious than Hawken (i.e. give us a single player campaign, for goodness sake), but it's looking like the modest project from a small team made in a fraction of the time wins. :sweat:

Edit: Ah, this explains it. For some reason the license holders for Mechwarrior wouldn't allow the game to be published on PS3, and no publisher was interested in doing it as an Xbox exclusive, so it was decided that this model was going to be the most effective to gain profitability.

Bot don't let this stop people here from screaming PC STRONG next time someone suggests PC gaming isn't doing well.

Though tbh, World of Tanks Online: Mechwarrior Edition could work.

As long as it's not as much of a grindfest as World of Tanks, it'll be fun. I'm particularly interested in the information warfare element they're using, it'd be nice to have a reason to take something other than an assault mech every time.
