This new pack/patch/add-on or whatever sounds good. I've been a fan of the series since UT1 and even thoug UT3 lacked a few things it was still fun but didn't last as long with me as the others(I got sick of it faster than other UTs). So hopefully this brings something new, a fresh breath into the game.

No it's .UMX if I recall correctly, which means that it's really either .S3M (ScreamTracker 3), .XM (FastTracker II) or .IT (Impulse Tracker).

XMPlay, my favorite audio player, plays umx files natively. It has several playback options for trackers in general as well, like surround sound.

The full name of the track is Foregone Destruction, and it can be found on Youtube, or for those interested, you can get it on the A History of Unreal Music CD that comes with the Unreal Anthology pack. A bunch of other good tracks there, as well, notably from the original Unreal and then UT. UT2004 also has a set of tracks on it, but I'm not a big fan, personally.
