Sometimes I regret that I often let years pass by before picking up a game, long after nobody's talking about it anymore. Every once in a while though, something like this happens that helps justify the wait - it makes me feel a little better.

I'm with you there. I didn't get around to playing MGS4 until a couple months ago. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus? Had to buy the HD versions (that being said, compared to every other HD re-release that Bluepoint has done, Ico and SotC are just plain perfect.)

Blupoint's HD conversions are top-tier. God of War HD is flawless, except for the few pre-rendered scenes that they obviously couldn't re-render. And even if you've got issues with MGS 3 HD, that doesn't counter-balance the fact that it's mostly on point except for a couple of places in its 15-hour runtime. Maybe you should play 'every other HD re-release' they've done before you weigh in about them, hm?

Huh. Somehow I was under the impression that they were responsible for the Silent Hill HD collection.
Can't say I care enough about God of War to say one way or another (that's the only other HD collection they did besides Team Ico and MGS.) So I'm not sure you really have that much of a point. Regardless I'll rephrase to "compared to a lot of the HD re-releases coming out the last few years". That better?
