Whoa, I wasn't expecting Burial At Sea 2 to feature non-lethal and/or stealth gameplay. That's pretty awesome, and should probably be spread around to some of the Thiefier forums.

I hope that this "1998 mode" isn't as shit as Infinite's 1999 mode. When they originally announced 1999 mode I envisioned permanence in your choices and the like a la SS2 (and the original announcement from Irrational in 2012 or so (http://irrationalgames.com/insider/announcing-1999-mode/) suggested as such), instead we just got fucking bigger bullet sponges.

I didn't find it as bad as you're saying. At least for the first half of the game or so (on 1999 mode) money is really scarce, so you do have to prioritize your upgrades and focus somewhat. They weren't bullet sponges if you used the right weapon/plasmid combos.

1999 mode was pretty awful. I'm not a massive fan of "shoot a non-helmeted human enemy in the face 8 times to kill them" difficulty scaling.

Sounds like the '1998 mode' lives up to its name, more so than '1999 mode' in the original; stealth and non-lethal gameplay seems to be fully viable and fun in this add-on.

Is the Season Pass worth it? Was just looking at prices on Steam and it seems like buying the Burial at Sea episodes separately makes absolutely no sense. How many hours does it take to finish the two?
