Hmm, well I certainly dont mind waiting to see what develops from the work you have posted. I myself dont have a printer that could do the image justice. I was thinking about paying to have it printed by a company that does these things. Thank you for the replies. I hope Im not hijacking your thread...

Last I checked Amazon had all three games listed in multiple formats. They may even still have a connection to the old trapezoid box through some store in their network.

Is it possible to have images like these blown up to a poster size? Or are they too low-res?
You could always take acrylics and go over any of the jagged edges from it being low-res. Using a steady hand and a thin brush, it shouldn't be too hard, just tedious. You could go over the whole image, for that matter, if you wanted it to look like a real painting(well, I mean, it WOULD be a real painting..you know what I mean).

That sounds like it would be a neat effect, but I think I would be hindered by my complete lack of artistic ability... I do appreciate the response though. Thank you for it!
And now I am hijacking the thread... apologies.
EDIT FOR SMALL TANGENT
I love being a 'new member' despite my having been here for more than 5 years. A true master of the shadows, I am.

What kind of tools are required to take a still from a cutscene, enlarge it, and enhance it so it doesn't just look like a complete jaggy mess? I understand it'll never look great, but how close to pretty good can one get without spending thousands? I'm hoping I can get a TDP/Gold set of images enlarged enough to reach the left and right margins of a standard sheet of paper. I agree with Digi that the quality of the printer matters greatly, but I'd like to maximize image resolution and clarity, as well.
And yeah, that artwork looks newer than it is to me, too.

As for the rest... it's entirely subjective. :erg:

http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/9044/garrettcity1me0.th.jpgHere's my take on the Image. (Not too)Subtle changes, made it a little bit gritty as I've always imagined the Thief Universe to be. Also slight change in contrast between Garrett and the city.
Also, if anybody wants (And if allowed) I'll willingly make the image into native Desktop resolutions (1024x768 etc) for those who can't (or for those to lazy to do so! ;) )
I've now got this beauty sitting as my Desktop Wallpaper at 1920x1200.

Uh, Jason, you're linking to the ImageShack root. :erm:

maybe someone could try for a higher quality scan job too.
What are the dimensions (in cm) of the original scanned by Beleg, I wonder? Put another way: How are the odds of improving the quality with another scan?

Hmm. What's the preference? A thumbnail of an already tiny image you click on to go to Imageshack to see only slightly bigger, or an image you don't have to click on, but is unfortunately hotlinked to Imageshack? :D Actually, I've hotlinked most of my image posts, and if it was incorrect, I wasn't corrected.:o
