Well, it would be nice to be able to run ONE OF THE BEST SHOOTERS EVER, PERIOD without Dosbox and therefore fuss, for once.

I got a nicely prepared version off the internet tubes (I have the GOG version bought, so I'm in the clear morally) - it has all the official addons and a few mods, and it's fully stocked with all the modern-comp configs. It still runs in Dosbox though, which can be a bother.

Blood is fun for 15min, how about remaking the real best FPS - Shadow Warrior.

Shadow Warrior wasn't bad, but its levels were mostly forgettable. Blood gave us a cemetary, a runaway train, a sawmill, a haunted mansion, a mad scientist's laboratory, an arctic wasteland, a carnival, a bombed-out city, a temple of a dark god, and a shopping mall, among others. Shadow Warrior gave us... ummm... inside and outside.

I wouldn't trash Shadow Warrior's levels like that -- I have fond memories of the airport for example. The real problem with Shadow Warrior is the enemies -- too many assholes too free with hitscan, and that's just the beginning. Most of the enemies are extremely lethal, with no balance to any of it. You can go from 100 health to dead in just a few seconds if you're not paying attention.

Uh... yeah. Because that was a map pack for Shadow Warrior. That's about as relevant as Shadow Warrior not having Cryptic Passage.

Also flare gun FTW.
