Interesting dilemma this one.
I have an unconscious body that needs to be able to be picked up and carried by the player, and dropped elsewhere. However, this body also needs to be able to be killed by sword slashes. This is where the problem is. If I don't touch the body, I can slash it just fine, but the moment I pick it up and place it elsewhere, it's as if the physics object has been lost, and the slashes just won't make contact. The only way I can slash the body after moving it is to place it on an object or surface so that it's at roughly player eye-line, and then slash it, and sometimes it'll make contact.
I've tried many different poses, I've tried attempting to change the phys dimensions of the body. The only thing I got to work consistently was attaching a solid invisible marker to the body which would stim the body when slashed, but the problem there was that the marker blocked player movement when carrying the body and made the player unable to land after a jump...
Any ideas welcome at this point! :p

weird, I just tried it and with a hamguard, I can wack the guard, caryy it, drop it again and then slash it, that is, untill the guard is dead. then the sword won't make any contact anymore.
I notice that the guard won't play the dying sound then...
perhaps the body/AI is corrupted, ( happend to me:p) how about placing a new one in? or did you change any props on the body?? the hamguard was a "fresh out of the box"one

Fixed it - I tried to have the body be unconscious by setting it to AI:null but of course it was just treating it as dead, and so sword hits weren't making contact. Removing that and changing AI > State > Current Mode: Dead instead has solved it.
