Hi all,
Just recently started playing an Ironman run (if you die, restart at Bafford's) of Thief 1/G , and was killing it in the Bonehoard minutes ago... Would have managed 100% loot if not for the following:
There is a room you drop down to that has a bear face, with gems for eyes. once you steal the gems, you must use a rope arrow to get out. The ceiling above the room is clearly wooden textured, and *should* accept a rope arrow into its surface, but every attempt, in every location resulted in a wasted rope arrow.
Since I always make a quick-save before engaging in risky ladder/rope-arrow behavior*, I was able to simply load my game, and finish the mission, but I was bummed to miss out on that loot!
I think my NewDark version is 1.26 - could that be the problem? Can anyone else confirm that 1.27 or 1.28 doesn't suffer from this issue (if it's even a NewDark issue in the first place?)
Anyone else encounter this problem? (I tried searching the forum for it, but didn't find anything.) Thanks for your input!
*(I don't feel this breaks the Ironman spirit, as Garrett is infamously clumsy on those, and has plunged to his untimely death *so* many times...)

The rope arrow surface works fine on my setup, which is 1.27. So I assume you didn't use a rope arrow to get down into the pit? It's tough to just drop down there without taking some serious damage.

Yeah, you can just fall down (which I did) - it hurts, but healing potions are plentiful.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll try out 1.27 and report back here whether it changes my experience there.

Ahh, 1.27 did indeed fix the issue. It also fixed the various T-pose zombies in the Bonehoard... Now it's more like I remember from my first playthroughs in the late 90s!

I don't think 1.26 is supposed to be like that either. You obviously had some install issues. Glad you were able to fix it.
