Question anyone who's played it: Are there any spiders in Amnesia?

She's a proper scaredy pants, for a horror devotee, but it seems genuine.
She has her own nerdcore rap themesong! :D

Already did. Ivellon's the overall much better mod of course, with some pretty creative ideas (
love the wielding options for the bastard swords and the open/closed helmet especially), but I just didn't find it scary. I guess there was too much humour in it for that. Aesgaard, while relying mostly on gratuitous gore, has some genuinely creepy stuff going on.
Fair enough, YMMV, and like we've already established mine is that of a skittish vagina so it's entirely possible I'd have found it scarier than most. I guess for me the pitch dark and the first contact with the ambient sound really made for a creepfest. I'll have to see how it goes on this replay.

Yeah. That is kind of internet victory right there.
Oh and on that other video (now I watched it), I kinda buy he freaked out fairly badly but went with it a bit for the benefit of the audience. Amnesia does build-up really well, just judging from videos. When something does finally charge at you out of the dark, I reckon it's fairly unpleasent. Add to that podcast talkative types used to...articulating their feeling for the audience = noisy results.

I just bought Amnesia off Frictional's store (no free Steam key! aw! but never mind, I still loves ya, Fricsy!)
*Shrug* I received a Steam key when I bought my copy directly from Frictional. I doubt that it would've been an advanced pre-order only deal.

Blood just gave me a nice piss-myself scare. I'm in Episode 2, The Overlooked Hotel. Things were pretty normal for the most part, what with me doing my usual shooting of latin screaming cult members, zombies, gargoyles, and puking fat men and all. Things were going pretty good, in fact, until I opened that fateful door on the second floor.
"Hey cool", I thought, "a library. I wonder what's on the other side of those bookshelves...."
SCRREEEECCCHHH
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Damn grim reaper looking bastards sudden go dive bomb me, screaming this horrible banshee screech. Scared the absolute flat out hell out of me.
I love this game. :D

I am playing Blood, as well (well now that it is gog-ified, it ran like piss years ago for me in DOSbox alone). Also Killing Floor with Vernon and sNEaksie, and trying to get Serious Sam co-op rolling with BrianTheDog and whomever else wants to come along.
