I have not read a single completed work. That's not to say there aren't completed works. I await the finished new Correspondence of Thieves by Digi, and hope that theBlackman can someday finish the second installment of his Mr. Feiht stories. They are Thief in the Night: To Pay the Rent, and The Good Samaritan.

Thanks. And sorry for the derailing. Let's make a new thread of it instead.
OT: I noticed while researching this that "The Redemption of Althalus" was really cut in pieces by feinschmecker and fan reviewers alike in this (
http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11772) sffworld.com thread. OTOH: The thread mentions "The Legend of Nifft" by Michael Shea as being a series of stories about a thief and his companion. I have only read "In Yana, the Touch of Undying" by Shea, and didn't really like its haphazardly thrown-together setting, Mary Sue protagonist, and general tone. I have no idea how the Nifft thing is like, it might be better. But it's about a thief, apparently.

Fritz Leiber's Lankhmar tales focus on the lives of two scoundrels in a corrupt and ancient city. The parallels with the Thief universe are many; I particularly recommend Ill met in Lankhmar for a start.

Ever wondered what would happen if you actually fell into the Thief world one night while playing the game?
Check out Locker51's excellently drawn out fanfiction:

If the above sounds campy, you'll be in for a surprise. This is seriously addictive stuff! Starring our favorite characters and faces new and old!

I read the first five chapters and they were interesting, the chapter endings made me want to read on, but unfortunately a few things spoiled it for me. Being an ex-proofreader I pick up mistakes in books easily, and I've seen several. Particularly 'Garret' instead of 'Garrett' which is a pet-peeve of mine. Also, I felt actions were written too quickly without depth or detail - one of the reasons I like Stephen King is his ability to fully explore a scene with plenty of detail.
