Good, rest in pieces the awful Gamespy infrastructure for MP.

I just really hope bullets move like bullets this time. Borderland's bullet had a noticeable travel time at 20 feet, like they were fucking arrows or something.

Lilith had a skill that increased bullet speed.

Aye, it was part of the gameplay though. Some weapons had slow bullet travel time but were better in other ways (usually high damage). I guess if every round travelled at supersonic speeds it'd mean a reduction in weapon variation.
I never used weapons with slow travelling rounds either but I see why they implemented it.

Mordecai didn't, and he was the one who could've actually used it. Lilith already fought most of her battles at point blank since she was an smg specialist.

The biggest problem with Borderlands and it's DLC is the risk of over-levelling.
It also could have used some fast-travel hubs. Having to spend an hour going from the start of a DLC to complete random side mission while slaughtering a million things on the way was annoying.

It's not like you lose much by using a different weapon with her. The only reason why she's an "SMG specialist" is because she starts with one and has one class mod for them.

Of all of my playthroughs, I preferred the one with Lillith and could never put my finger on why. I liked her phasewalking skill and the healing aspect of it made it indispensable for some of the harder fights, but now I'm wondering if it wasn't the subtle effect of bullet speed. I certainly used plenty of revolvers and sniper rifles with her with no problems.

I never noticed any difference specced with or without the bulletspeed increase, but then my accuracy is so horrible I mostly went with the MOAR BULLETS approach for everything. Use an anarchy SMG with a bullet regen classmod and you can basically just glue your LMB down.
Plus I rarely bothered attempting to snipe from miles away anyway, since such a nuanced approach isn't really borderlands' forte.
Still, the respec costs are so tiny, you could test it fairly easily yourself.
(edit: though if you do respec, don't put any points into the "phoenix" skill thing that makes you burst into flames and get free ammo: that skill might as well be called "self-inflicted exploding barrel death")

I think I'm just such a general fan of sniping that I *made* it work for me. There's just something so satisfying about lining up a head shot and watching the elemental effect turn them into a pile of ash or whatever. All of this is making me hanker for another play through.
