Boston Bound April 14-15. Who's Coming? - by fett

Got doctor appointments the morning of the 14th and have some other plans for fun with the family. Anybody up for food one of those nights? Would love to do a bar hopping thing but the whole family is in tow, including the boys, so maybe hanging somewhere and getting dinner one night? I might even wear a clean shirt.

Really wish I could be there and meet you. Unfortunately I'm stuck in Adelaide for another week or two in the middle of a work crisis and won't have a chance to get back to the Boston area until June. Hope you get lucky with the weather. Got some fun plans for the kids?

Yeah - heading to the Lego store at the Braintree Mall Thursday afternoon. Whale watching on Friday morning, then we'll head by the State House because Rich wants to see the site of the Boston Massacre. There's a re-enactment of Paul Revere's capture that night, and we're also going to catch the Concord and Lexington re-enactments on Saturday before heading back to PA. Plus I'm gonna eat the hell out of some seafood.

Would love to try to meet but the dates and times just don't work out! You won't still be in town the 17th in the evening? I have a Javanese gamelan performance at Tuft's in Somerville.

So, was Mel Gibson correct when he said that everything's illegal in Massachussets?

Have fun. Looks like you'll have decent weather for the whale watching. I did that once and was kinda bored with it but my in-laws thought it was great. If you have time after the re-enactment on Saturday, you could try to eat at the Rainforest Cafe at the Burlington Mall, a very popular place with the kids.
Hope the appointment goes well.

Enjoy yourself, fett. New England is an awesome area. Mrs. Gunsmoke is from New Hampshire and has tons of relatives in the Boston area. We go there every other year, for our vacation.
Oh, and Boston takes its sports SERIOUSLY. I recommend grabbing some tickets to a Red Sox day game. It is amazing seeing the Green Monster in person. Your kids would probably be thrilled.
Oh, and Boston Garden...check out the Celtics. They are in a playoff run.
