ive played as a sniper (using only silenced weapons, throwing knifes, sniper rifle, and the occasional LAM), BLAM BLAM guy (assualt rifle, shotgun, assault shotgun...), and the sneaker guy (I gave up after like the first few levels, got too hard for me!). The heavy weapons guy doesnt appeal to me at all, but is there anybody else I could play as? any places that I might have missed the first time 'round?
Endings???

try one of these two:
(a) totally melee weapons (sword, prod, etc .. nothing even THROWN like knives or anything)
(b) non-lethal (crossbow, prod, baton)
you could also try limiting yourself to one weapon only or just running through the game without killing people (stock up on medkits and such, get the speed & regen augs, etc)

What is your definition of "sneaker"? I played as a melee-only guy and considered it to be sneaking.
Anyways, you can always try wuss ass who can't kill or even bear to incapacitate a single person. You'd have stuff like good environmental training to wear ballistic armor and themoptic camos and good swimming/hacking skills and stuff. Oh, and I mean no kills whatsoever so that means no scrambling/EMPing bots as well because they might kill other people. Also, no hacking turrets to attack enemies/anything. Get cloak and radar transparency, run silent and other such. You'd only get one kill and that would be Howard Strong, cause I don't think there's a way around that without taking him down. You get one throwing knife for that, but that's it.

I believe you'd also have to kill anna or knock out one of the mibs inorder to get out of UNATCO that one time.... :D :p

i suppose we could consider using the killphrases a "non-kill" ... you'd have to kill simons too wouldn't you?

The best way to play is a Non-Lethal "Iron Man" type of play. Save only once per level. And if any alarms go off, or you kill anyone, Restart the level. Exceptions, Bots may be killed. You cannot use bots to kill people. Once a persons body is "Unconsious" you can do whatever you want with it. Doesn't matter the challenge was getting them unconsious. There are of course exceptions in other areas as well. In the Secret MJ12 lab in the sewers one can safely set off the alarm because there is a Finite number of enemies as there should be. But in versalife the Cops would (should) come and even the great JCD would be overwhelmed. Basically try to play the game as "Realistically" as possible. On the Realistic Skill Level of course. Non-lethal is the hardest way to do it. Guarenteed. ;) ;)

As far as possible try not to kill anyone, just knock them unconscious. If you are really feeling generous include animals, robots and public propety as well. There are few occasions you have to wack someone (Walter Simons, the two cyborgs). The other two guys you have to kill (the terrorist in the plane and the supervisor in Hong Kong) can be knocked out and they are still counted as dead.
Or kill everything, including innocent bystaneders. Try to be a complete asshole in all your conversations.

You don't have to kill the terrorist on the plane, Juan Lebedev or Hundley, the supervisor in VersaLife.
For Lebedev, you basically have two choices, one being killing Anna and joining the terrorists or letting Anna kill Lebedev for you. I also noticed that if you kill Anna, you get 150 skill points that aren't awarded if you choose to kill Lebedev or let Anna kill Lebedev.
As for Hundley, bribe him instead of killing him. It's not like credits are in short supply...2000 isn't too too much. And if you're really smart, you'll notice the number on the temp pass you create at the front desk is the code for the elevator down to the labs.

For a truly unique challenge, try to play as chain-cmoking JC. Smoke every pack of ciggarettes you come across (this includes ones that can be bought from vending machines). Particularily nerve-wracking if you don't take the regen aug.
Also, as I recall you can just knock out Hundley and tell the nervous worker that he's dead.
Shadowhawk on 2/11/2001 at 00:25
You can kill Hundley and tell whatever that guy's name is that he's dead, but if you are trying to go without killing/prodding of any sort, just pay the bastard off. I just noticed that if you take more hacking skill that you get a hell of a lot more money at ATMs. I mean, 750 at some of them...shesh that's crazy. I even paid the doctor at Tenderloin Clinic in Hell's Kitchen 2000 credits this time through for the passcode into the surgery bay.
