I'm about to wrap up Gothic 2, so I'll more than likely be grabbing this one within the next couple of days. My opinions on the game will soon follow. Though based on the demo, I think any criticisms I come up with will be just for criticisms sake.
I also want more good 2D platformers, damnit. Braid and Bionic Commando aren't nearly enough to sustain me during these long cold summer months.

The only real criticism is that it isn't replayable. I finished it once and didn't even feel like returning for the speed run. It's more clever than fun.

Most puzzle games like this usually don't. Once you figure out the trick for each board and find all the secrets, you're pretty well done with it.
Oh well. As long as the first time through is memorable, I'll be happy.

Yep, the ending alone is worth the price of admission.

Wellllp, I bought it, and I think it's grand. But just like I was fearing, it's kind of a short and easy game. After a couple of three hours in, I've already got all the puzzle pieces for worlds 2, 3, and 4, I'm short one piece in 5 (crossing the gap), and I've got half for world 6. At least the last world is putting up a good fight.
My opinions so far is: great game, at times really clever and neat, but a breeze for the most part. What it needs next is a hard as hell expansion pack for people...like, if I may be so humble, myself...who are so amazingly awesomely damn smart the vagaries and paradoxes of time travel hold little challenge.

I'm no self-professed King of Puzzles but two or three of Braid's had me stumped for a few hours.

I've still got two puzzle pieces left...and I am totally stumped. The last piece on the far end of Crossing The Gap, and the one next to the falling ladder on Elevator Action have completely eluded me so far. What's worse is I know the solution is something obvious, and when I eventually solve it, I'm gonna feel so, so dumb.

Yeah, the Elevator Action piece
is something obvious. It was the only puzzle in Braid that had me scuttle off for a walkthrough. Problem was that the way I was trying to do it appeared to me to be possible with tight enough timing, and after a few half hours of trying I just couldn't take it any more.
I'm looking forward to seeing what comes out of the level editor release.

You probably did the same thing I've been trying. It's such an evil damn tease. No matter how I time it, I always miss it just..JUST by the skin of my teeth and go ERRRRRGGHH. It makes me wonder why the little bastard wants to go through all the effort of rewinding time and make doppelgangers of himself, but doesn't want to jump off the top rung of a stupid ladder.
At least I know I'm doing it the wrong way now. :P

Some of these puzzles, now that I think about it, I actually kinda solved by accident. Like I'd just be trying things out and then all of a sudden whoa hey I did it! And sometimes I didn't quite understand why. I think in one or two cases you can glitch the game, or at least solve the puzzles in a way not entirely intended by the creator.
