So what's the new best? Cleveland Show or something?

Homeland is pretty good.

A beautifully satisfying ending. I couldn't help rooting for Walt for these past few episodes. So sad, especially with Walt Jr.
And Renz, I told you so.

Excellent end to a fantastic series. I thought a few times they were going to leave Walt's fate ambiguous - cutting away from him approaching the gun in the clubhouse or leaving him walking towards the shed. The ending was far better than I expected it would be and it showed real respect for the viewers.

I've heard 20% of people were unsatisfied with the ending because it was too predictable which just confirms my belief that 20% are hopeless posers. It was perfect. It broke my heart just right. Will there ever be another show as good? I think that is what makes me sad today, the day after. How there can be? I hope I'm wrong, as I so often am, but this time I wonder.

There will be. It might be a bit, but something will eventually come along that captures our attention just as intently. Something always does.
The one thing that'll ensure BB's legacy, and really the one major reason why we're all so sad to see it end now, is that the show didn't overstay it's welcome. Think of every other show we've been interested in over the years. Barring a rare few, every one of them overstayed their welcome by a good couple of seasons. BB ended right at its apex. It started out great, only got better as time went on, and was at its best during this last season. It never gave us a chance to get tired of it. It ended at just the right moment in just the right way.
It's the Calvin and Hobbes of the TV world. And just like it, we'll all be talking about it fondly for years to come.
Plus, it's not like Vince Gilligan is retiring. He'll start something else. And thanks to Breaking Bad, he won't have to go begging from network to network until he lucks out and finds a little cable channel that'll let him put his idea onscreen. Now all he has to do is say he wants to work on another show, and everyone and their grandma will start throwing money at him.
Whatever he works on next, I dunno if it'll be as good, but it probably won't be too half bad, either.

It was a treat to be sure, but I don't think anything will, in my eyes, be as good as the Wire.
I wrote: Still I'm not convinced yet that Walt sees Jesse as an enemy.
Renzatic wrote: He hates him, and wants him dead and gone.
Well, I had seen that right. :)
Although I now think Walt didn't have any special purpose for a plan, when he told Jesse about Jane's death. Indeed he was just pissed off with Jesse. Renzatic saw that right. But at least Walt changed his mind in the end, and saved Jesse. A bittersweet ending.
I liked the episode. Good ending for an excellent show.

I think we were both right in a way. He hated Jesse and wanted him dead up until the moment the Nazis dragged him into the room. When he saw him chained, haggard, and scarred, Walt realized Jesse had been in living his own personal hell for far longer than he had been, even before the showdown in the desert, and immediately chose to forgive him
This makes sense to me, because Walt by this point has come to realize every single person he's claimed to care about has suffered directly because of him and the things he's done. Jesse is the most visceral, living example of this fact, standing there right in front of him.

A guy over on the CHUD.com forums made this, and it is the best thing. It is a HUGE HUGE SPOILER. Like, THE HUGEST. I cannot stress how big of a spoiler it is, absolutely do not click if you haven't seen the finale. (
