The UK hasn't actually left the EU yet, so it's far too early to start cashing in on prognoses and the migration issues are far more complex than "turn several million of them loose with no integration efforts". The people who are coming from countries like Syria are not being resettled in Europe just like that. Most of them are actually sent back after their asylum applications are rejected. Not to mention that UK has an "opt-in" on this issue meaning that it wouldn't even have to make the effort to refuse.
The UK has agreed to take in 20 000 asylum seekers over the next 5 years, which is a drop in the bucket, really. Though it must also be noted that the UK has made a significant contribution to humanitarian aid in the region, which is one of the reasons other EU countries aren't pressing the issue: (

We've been having so much fun taking a dump on Trump that it feels like Brexit has taken a backseat. But lest poor Britain gets the illusion that because their clusterfuck pales in comparison to the US's they don't still have a fuse-lit clusterfuck on their hands, the march of time has brought reality back home. The big Article 50 Trigger Day is apparently coming up this Wednesday! Hold on to your balls if you got'em!
Reading the threads on it is a trip. I'm honestly debating who is more delusional, Leave voters that honestly think the future is uncertain and worth giving a chance, as if their grandkids are going to thank God they aren't still under the thumb of Merkel whatever that comment was supposed to mean, and US Republican voters who think the same about Trump and think it's the Democrats who are having the real crisis.
2016 was a shit year, no doubt, but 2017? We've left planet earth at this point.

Don't you mean, when the integrity of his reanimated corpse can no longer be sustained by his Reptilian overlords?

Article 50'd. No turning back.
Thanks for playing. Better luck next round in the eternal recurrence of reality.
Legit curious to hear from Scots & NI'ders what you expect will happen for your region in the longterm though.

It's a dark, dark day for liberty.
My main interest now is what will we call ourselves when Scotland and the Six Counties leave the UK.

But European Council President Donald Tusk has said that he believes Article 50 can be reversed.
When asked if the UK could unilaterally withdraw its Article 50 notification during the next two years, he said, "Formally, legally, yes."
Lord Kerr - the former British ambassador to the EU, who helped draft Article 50 - agreed.
"You can change your mind while the process is going on," he said.
