:o Oh man, Cardia I'm sorry. I saw Nightwalker's post and saw the words "bloodbath" and then started my own post. I must have been refering to Night Watch Confrontation.
Broken Heart was rather fun. It was kinda difficult until I made it to Isildo. When I went to his room his back was turned to the doorway and he was calm, so an overhead swing took a large amount of health from him. Afterwards I kept swinging and he never saw me. :)

I'm just not in to killing. No offense was intended in any way. I'm sure many people are having a great time with the mission. It just doesn't suit me personally.

I just tried to play this but I am stuck in the bed in the royal bedroom(Think thats what its called) Was trying to get to the key and then I suddenly found myself IN the bed and cannot get out for the life of me.
Unfortunately I have no saves so I am just gonna bag this one I dont feel like going through the keyhunt all over again.
The same thing just happened to me! Fortunately I have a save a little further back, but honestly, I am kind of lukewarm about this mission.
I think you have a good feel for architecture cardia1, but there is too much of a "cut and paste" feel in this mission and your previous one (The Citadel of Duoro).
Also, there are too many large empty spaces with nothing interesting to do between them -- no secret passages, no nifty "connections" between places, etc. Again this is similar to "Citadel", which had a very large city area, but nothing interesting to do. Lots of bulidings, but each placed separately away from the other and often rooms that looked very similar.
I beleive as you keep making missions they will get better. At least you have the technical stuff worked out (for the most part ;) )

you found it difficult?
Not difficult to accomplish, but rather difficult to endure. I'm with NW on this one. I don't mind the occasional H2H to save my own life, but being dumped into my own one-person war? It would have been very easy for Garrett to simply sneak out of the place (cleaned out first) instead of being a hitman Rambo.
Honestly the title of the FM was sort of misleading for me. I was hoping for a story that conveyed emotion and sadness. From my perspective it seemed like the story relating to the title was in the readme file, and the players were made to take revenge out on someone else's behalf. After running out of ammo and having several army members running around looking for me, at times I had to hide on top of open doors so they wouldn't kill me.
With the last member of the army was left on his own, I was out of ammo except for the sword. At that point when his hit points were low enough he ran like crazy to get away from me. I would not have been able to finish if it weren't for a fluke... He decided to run away by going toward me.

Ape beast? there is no ape beast in my mission? are talking about someonelse fm?, i don´t like violence as well ,but only in reality, but in a game is diferent, don´forget that thief is a violent game, and that includes blackjacking as well, in "broken heart" you don´t hear the sounds of pain from the Isildo´s little army, i guess that reduces a little bit the violence, anyway forget the violence, and enjoy the good part of my fm;)
and I did!
But what do you mean about "blackjacking"? I never found a BJ, nor could I kill a guard with my sword when I got behind him! That part was tough. I also experienced that when I got stuck in a corner at some point the're would be 10 heavy guards coming to kill me. I didn't stand a chance!
But when I approached them from another angle, they were just gone away.... to get lunch perhaps? :ebil:
And what about those "non-climbable ladders"???!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No no no!!!! That's very confusing in an Thief FM!
I liked the mission, the music, the key aspect .......... but I also must mention that, when a new Taffer chooses the "normal" playeffect: he or she
won't stand a chance!!! I don't think that's fair.
IF you make levels, adjust to them. That's my opinion.
I really liked the mission, but some parts aren't very consequent.
I enjoyed the storyline, it was evidend and readable. I liked the "movement" when I grabbed the sword! Thát was a great setting!
SO: Thank you Cardia1 for this mission! It has many angles of approaching. Perhaps you don't even now how many ... :ebil:
Gloria creep
I forgot to thank you for that cuit Dewdrop dolly in the mission! Isn't she Dewdrops sister ? BTW, since she had grey/white hear and (I MUST mention this) a very nice dress to go with that?!!!

I too was a bit stuned by so many tough enemies once I grabbed the sword.
I took care of most of them with mines (but there wasn't enough to go around) I found in the same room but I was more irritated by the lack of places to hide so I stand a chance of back stabbing one by one the appearing army. I can handle face to face but in most cases I wound up sword fighting two or three guys at once and you know where that gets you. Dead ! Or so low on health I lost the will to go on. The place was entirely to well lit. I to quit and haven't been back since. Maybe someday I will try to finish it.
Anyhow..........................
I relly liked the design of the place and the presence of a good yet sad story
so thanks for the mission.
Elkson: I also got stuck in that bed but luckily I did save before entering that room. And when I found a secret that made it obvious I had to jump on the bed again I was nervous but I managed.
Hay ....when I go to advanced my tool menu isnt there. The spoiler thing, text editor and such. What happened ??????

this mission requires indeed a good skill of fighting despite of Garrett not being a killing machine, but i think it´s good to change a gameplay once in a while, i guess i´m having a big influence from quake 3.
The dewdrop skins are from Sensut, i´m still trying to learn how to make reniskable skins and textures:sweat:

Lightningline , i didn´t wanted to build any place for hidding or a dark place, i wanted to make a this fm a fighting place, kind a quake 3 arena, were the player must show his skills of fighter , i know it´s not the tipical thief mission, but it´s something that makes difference:) , sorry i love quake3 gameplay, and also thief too ofcourse, don´t worry someday i´ll make a tipical thief mission, with a lot of secrets, a good storyline, gameplay and so on, but meanwhile i´m in the mood to make something similiar to quake 3, i´m planning to build a big fm but only for fighting:ebil: , no hidding places, no dark places, all very well lit, only you ,your weapons and the enemys to kill:ebil: MUHAAHAAAHAA
