Thanks so much eshaktaar & elkston - got it now. (I'd become near-obsessed with the idea the writings from the green pillars were somehow part of the clue! Ah well, live & learn.
As others have already said, this is a masterpiece - a seminal FM.
Can't remember ever seeing so many new/custom features, all superb & all linked so well with the design. And such a plot!
Can't even imagine how much work & dedication went into this; but it's very, very much appreciated :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
(Looking forward to, one day, hearing more about those secrets - missed 5 in each mission :o )

Finished a little while ago.
I liked how ...
The old Hammer priest came back to assist you. It tied together with the previous mission quite well. I felt a sort of camraderie with the fellow!
Also, the librarian Keeper's story was both courageous and poignant.
What an exciting and highly memorable experience! Thank you Eshaktaar and all who assisted in bringing this mission to completion.

About those jackals...

Bigger hint:
The two jackal heads have to "talk" to each other. Sure, but how? I could open one panel, but can't reach the other. There is a water basin (?) nearby, but this is too small to fit... I am missing something here...And as for the missions... really, this time I don't even know what to say. Four years, and it all shows! :wot:

Amazing missions! I want to erase my memory and do it all over again!
I picked up an odd looking key through a window and I want to find out how to get to the door before I exit. My guess is I'm supposed to jump off a brick jutting out of the wall onto the ledge? It's not high enough, so do I have to stack?
Also, spoiler from first level (one of the secrets from the crypt): The Staff of Far Reaching is awesome! I never would have gotten the emporers name.
I'm missing 2 secrets from the first mission and 4 from the second. Anyone got them all?

daniel: Climb up opposite and go round.

Totally amazing creation Eshaktaar - mega congrats on what will certainly be recognized as one of the top FM's...:thumb:
But, unfortunately in the second mission I've went around it at least 10 times to no avail.
Nothing opens - even when I put the codes (although it gives me the "found secret" message) in the combo lock next to the treasure door (and hear something open but can't find it) and that door doesn't open (not sure what's up with that) and now can see better and see beetles (but they don't show me anywhere to go that I can tell). I also can't find the other key (got the star key) to open that other area - so I can't go there.
But, since I can't go anywhere - doesn't really matter - so maybe I'll just open it in Dromed at a later date. Congrats again - amazing mission until my road block......

Garrettwannabe: before entering the Treasure Room codes, next to the Palace door, make sure you can enter the Palace without having to open that main door. Something does open in there. If you need help beyond what's opened, read higher up this page.
Don't know what you're referring to by "that other area"...
