Just out of pure curiosity, upon entering the Necropolis,
there was no trap of any sort, and no lowering floor like some people are talking about. There's also no button in any of the light fixtures. Is this a bug or am I somehow lucky?
In that 1st corridor / tunnel didn't you have
something from the roof try to crush you flat? Then you're "lucky" & it 's maybe a bug (though I haven't heard of anyone else finding that). That's supposed to be a trap, gotton around by pushing a button in the roof just before you reach it - the button's not in a light fitting per se but does have some light emanating around itAlso finished with some spare
star gems - maybe Garrett can sell these? :)
The boulder at the end is not the trap - I hadn't found the secrets in the Necropolis &, because of that I couldn't see any way back in to search for them.
Was there another way back?

oh my god! just registering the awe I have for these missions and for you, Esh, for spending so long on them - it was worth it! this is going in the Mandatory Play list for sure :cheeky:
I did not experience the Necropolis entrance trap, either; I went though that hallway multiple time, too...

to get to the room from the otherside, go to the canopy opposite, mantle on that, then around and eventually you'll get to the door - it's only a secret though nothing importand

LOL I'm stuck!
Which are the codes to open the palace door? I tried HARE - SCARAB - EYE - DUCK but nothing happened

Necropolis entrance trap didn't happen to me either...
Just finished this mission. All I can say is wow! Eshaktaar, tyvm for this mission. It is simply stunning. Clever with the scarabs for hints :) I may actually play this over, and soon. Considering I have ADD that's a major compliment, your's would be the first FM I ever played twice.
If DrK gave us a new faction to make canon in the Thief universe, you gave us the definitive word on the precursors. Simply stunning. I only wish the necropolis were a whole city, I could have wandered around in there for hours. The atmosphere was amazing. I actually just stopped in a dark corner and imagined their society for a while. Your mission really sucked me in. :thumb: Again, thank you for this mission.

Dooh Nibor: Those are the codes to open the treasury. :)
There is a list of Emperors in the Archives and a translation scroll in the Sanctuary.

i've opened the obelisk with the code and got round the closed palace door by using the far reach wand, but the way is still blocked, i opened the palace door first though, is there something else i'm missing or have i blown it by opening the palace door first?

The extra star gems are there to make it a little easier. Trust me, there's nothing worse than getting to the end of the mission and being unable to proceed because you've run out, then having to scour the entire map for the last one. Esh added the extra gems to make sure that wouldn't happen.

Btw, Lennard I know, but who specifically did the voices for Reginald and Nyarsal?
SlyFoxx also did Nyarsal, and I tried to voice the frozen priest.Quote Posted by MrMunkeepants

The trap only appears on Expert (maybe on Hard, too, but definitely not on Normal).Thank you all for playing the mission! I'd have hoped for less technical issues, but the older Thief gets the fiddlier it is to run properly, I suppose.
