Avallon: If you arrange the blocks into the shape of one of the symbols above the doorways, that symbol will light up. Try all three combinations. Further detail: Only one of the symbols will light up in blue, and that is the path which you need to take. The others will light up in red instead, and those paths are fatal.

Thanks NA, I got the extreme left one to light up red but the rest of the shapes got me stumped. Can't seem to get them to move exactly the same shape as the symbols. Guess I have to keep trying.

Avallon just make the t for the middle one and it will light up blue. Then you can get across.

Actually, this seems to be another randomized thing. Playing through again I've seen a different door light up blue every time.

Thanks stingm, I got T too.
Now I'm at the area after opening the Jackal's Gate, have the Incense and prayer beads to put into the bowl. But no candle to light up, can anyone tell me where to find it please?
Sticky Fingers on 8/6/2008 at 05:27
Avallon: Candle in the throne room of the Palace. To light it, look for a path not far from the jackel's gate ( can't remember exactly where). And you'll need the Keeper's Medallion.

Ah no wonder, I haven't been able to get into the Palace yet, what is the code for the door? I think I've been everywhere but there by now.

Good missions. You put a lot of effort into this fan mission and I will respect that. Level design is superb and if you are this good with Unreal or other editors then you might actually have potential for succeeding with a game developer if that is what your dreams are.
However, to me it just has a few minor problems.
It took me 4+ hours to figure out the first level. The flow of the plot is not that smooth like the Thief Missions, nor other FMs I have played (which is not that many to begin with) and it can get confusing, hence the ton of spoiler posts helping people get through the missions.
Basically, I ended up with many items I knew had to do with the plot (as they had no monetary value) but had trouble finding their proper place. Sometimes I ended up loosing track of what it was I had to do. I had to revisit every place over and over again just to get the plot moving again. I think a metaphor explains it better:
It's like you have 1000piece puzzle set and you 999 of them put together and you just need to put one more in. However, you have like 999 other puzzle pieces in your inventory and one of them is the right piece!
Overall, it is great, but felt like a fetchquest and when I got to the end half of me was happy to see it all come together, and the other half was just glad it was over! For the last part, for example, where you summon the spirit. When I got the where the hammer is and saw the incense bowl, but my candle was out, I close to throwing a fit if (after exploring the area) I had to relight the candle in the market place. But having the elemental there I felt like I was given a break from the "go to point A from point Z" deal.
Anyway, thank you very much and your missions sure are inspirations for other modders!
Please view this as constructive criticism.

Thanks Sticky Fingers, I'm done!
I absolutely love the storyline and how complicated it turned out to be. What seemed like a straightforward heist job shocked me with all the twists and turns. I love FMs that brings the Keeper faction into the storyline, so Aleph and the story behind the Glyphs were all memorable and extremely well done. It was really nice to see a humbler side to the a Keeper, I felt genuine sorrow for his fate and wish we could have met him alive and well. His memories of the Sanctuary and letters to Garrett brought a poignant touch to the tale and reminds us that as inscrutable Keepers may seem, they are all still human after all.
