Ok, saw the point.
Actually, your brushes are not layered correctly.
To layer it, check on the bottom left of Dromed.
You'll see "grid size": 16 per default
And "use" ticked per default.
To layer correctly your brushes, make sure that "use" is ticked (written in a purple color actually).
And set "grid size" to 11 or 12. Then you may see your brushed layered correctly with just a little limitation in matter of size. ^^
EDIT: I have forgotten to say: your Zoomed-in link works strangely, it avoid your cursor when you attempt to click it. :erg:

Are you using the horizontal, and vertical alignment feature U and V ? If not, hilight the texture then click on the right arrow of either U or V and the numbers will start going up. U is Horizontal, and V is Vertical.

Strange, that doesn't happen to me? Also, I tried what you said and it didn't work. :c I try to make sure that stays on because of how many times I've read that disabling the grid is a very bad idea.

I know I'm the novice, but why would messing with the texture fix a problem with the brushes being off level? (Honestly asking, not trying to be a jerk.)
FireMage on 11/8/2013 at 20:08
Yes it is, it was in the case that your grid was disabled. ;)
What kind of brushes are you using? Cubes? What are their dimensions?
In the worst case, send me your .mis to see what's wrong. ^^
I think that Mysteryman has just misunderstood your problem, no problem, such thing happens to the world. :)
Even if you could "mask" the problem by cheating with the textures.
EDIT: ALSO: You can layer it manually with the X Y Z coords on the left botton of dromed. Press the button to make your brush going down. Although you'll be obliged to click on it a lot of times...

The only thing I could see in your ingame screen shot was misaligned textures so that is the reason I asked.
Are you rounding off your brush sizes to increments of 5, example .25,.50 ect, and what grid size are you building on? grid size 12 is common, and going less that .50 on a brush is not possible, unless you go to grid size 11.
Are you using the zoom in feature when examining your brush placement on the z axis? And for that matter, are you manually snapping the brushes?

Oh, I'm just using cubes. I had to use a 6.84 wide air brush so I could make the "tops" of the bookshelves, height of 16 in a room with the same height. Could the dimensions be a contender for the cause of the problem? Also, I've been using those sliders/buttons quite a bit, actually. I'm going to wear out my mouse buttons clicking to adjust the brushes perfectly, because sliding isn't that precise. :p

Oh yeah, the textures are misaligned in a nasty way, I'm just more focused on the brush problem at the moment. Also, I'm using the zoom in feature constantly. I'm not sure what you mean by "manually snapping", though.

6.84 sized brush is your problem here, round it off to either 0, or .50, in other words 7.00 or 6.50 at grid size 12 and up. To manually snap each brush when it is hilighted, use your shift button, while dragging it with your cursor. Go a little beyond the grid, then let go of the mouse button. It will snap to grid.
Always round off your terrain brush sizes to the nearest Zero, or increments of .50
If you use these commands in your command box:
hilight_check_snap-This command will hilight your unsnapped brushes to a shade of purple
hilight_do_snap-This command will snap all of your brushes to the grid, and might resize them.
hilight_clear-This command clears the hilight back to default white.

In the front view you can see that the brushes are not fitting correctly.
This can happen when using other shapes or rotations. But in your second screenshot it seems that you only use cube brushes. So I think as well that there's a problem with the gridsnap. So I would suggest to edit the values manually in the bottom left corner.
I'm not sure how many after digits you are using but for example at low grid size the basic brush move is 0.125 but the default display for values only has two after digits so 0.125 will be displayed as 0.13 but this is only the displayed value in real it's still at the 0.125 position, so if you now manually set a brush to 0.13 which you think is the exact value then it would still be of by 0.005 and I would guess that that is your problem.
Therefore I would suggest that everyone who haven't done it yet should take a look into their dromed.cfg. There are many options to improve the DromEd window and also the point gfh_coord_decimals 3 which sets the amount of after digits (in my case to 3).

Thank you! I turned my grid size down to make sure I didn't screw up my door, but everything is working perfectly now that I messed with the dimensions and re-snapped it all. Thank you, MysteryMan, and everyone else! :3 Now to properly align the textures. Let's hope I don't screw that up too, and need to bother you guys with that. :p
