I am having trouble loading a fan mission in dromed via FM Sel. I enabled FM Sel in cam_mod.ini, and set the FM archive path. I started Dromed.exe and FM Sel launched and has the list of FMs there. There is a button along the bottom that says "Edit FM". I assumed I could select a mission and use that button to open it in Dromed. Dromed starts but the mission doesn't load. Are we supposed to be able to edit in dromed this way? If not, why the button?

Sometimes FMSel/Dromed doesn't take the path that you need.
Press "Skip FM" and navigate to the FM folder in order to load the mis/cow. Or install the mission again.
Next time it should work when you choose the "Edit FM"-button.
This is the Fan Mission Manager by tolsen64 thread, btw

Thanks, Una! I'll give it a try. And I moved the posts to the correct thread.

With FMSel and NewDarkLoader, DromEd opens up with nothing loaded. This is because there may be more than one mission in an FM. However, it is looking in the correct FM folder.
So if you choose File > Open you will find the FM folder is opened automatically and you can then select the appropriate mission from it.
File > Load Savegame defaults to loading the latest quicksave (but you have the option to choose a different save).
Or select Game > Game Mode; when in the blank screen press Esc, and then load whichever savegame you want (or Restart) as in normal play.

Hello,
I don't know how I did it but I don't have icon displayed on my Thief 2 FmSel anymore.
I don't find anything in options related to icons.
As icons work fine in my Thief 1 FmSel, I thought copying [config] part of T1 fmsel.ini to T2 fmsel.ini would be a nice idea, but it doesn't work.
Does somebody know how to display icons again ?

I'm not exactly sure what you tried to do here, and copying stuff between your T1 and T2 installations sounds like a really bad idea, in general. But I believe icons work like this:
-An icon will only show if you have an archive file (zip, 7z, etc) in the directory specified in FM Archive Path in settings. If the icon is faded, its means the mission has already been installed to your Thief directory under the /FMs folder.
-If there is no icon, that means the file has been installed to your /FMs directory, but the the archive file is not present in the Archive Path.
So this has less to do with icons showing or not showing, and more to do with where your archived (zipped) FM files are located.

I think I've accidentaly linked FM archive path to the dir that contains my installed FMs.
I've tried to correct the Fm Path with the menu, closed FmSel, run FmSel again, still no icons.
Then I've tried to edit fmsel.ini to correct directly the line ArchiveRoot=C:\...
But when I'm saving fmsel.ini and relaunch FmSel, all parameters are reset with default values.
Then I've made a discover : Closing FmSel window with upper-right cross doesn't save the changed parameters. Using the "Exit" button IS saving changed parameters.
So I've corrected FmPath, used the "Exit" button, and the icons are back \o/
