Is the Burrick present in Dromed for Thief 2, do they ever appear in Thief 2 FMs?
DrK on 24/2/2006 at 02:07
Burricks aren't in Thief 2, so they aren't in DromEd. Still, they appear here and there in fms. Can't remember who created the model from T1 to T2, and if they are available with Dedx... :erg:

The name I always wanted to use for a tavern in the Thief universe was The Two Grins Tavern. Get it? Smiling with a cut throat?
Anyway, I think Burricks and taverns named after them are cool.

'cause everyone's my friend in Burrick City
And everything looks beautiful when you're young and pretty
The streets are paved with diamonds and there's just so much to see
But the best thing about Burrick City is you and me
Are burricks supposed to be reptiles or mammals? The concept drawing I saw looked mammalian and the burricks in-game look sort of reptilian.

They're nocturnal and live underground, so I figure they must be mammals. Or maybe they're a kind of animal that doesn't exist in out world, neither mammal nor reptile.

I always thought them to be distantly related to the dinosaur. More like the ones birds evolved from. With a touch of dragon thrown in (i.e. the gas breathing burricks).

Hey, do you remember the museum in Thief 2x and the reconstructed burricks? They looked like ancient dinosaurs.

Okay, I don't really see how the one follows on from the other... why would nocturnal and underground-dwelling make it mammalian? :erg:

Could be, it would certainly be a leap of faith to suppose that the Thief world's taxonomy is identical to ours.
Although they always looked kind of reptilian to me.

Yeah, well I always thought Burricks were like a forgotten, retarded and gas-incontinent cousin to the Dinosaur.
