So if I buy thief from EBgames and download it to my puter, and then I buy a new puter (which I very wel may, soon) is there a way to transfer it from my old one to the new one?
Also, you rock for still being around and having a nice community o' taffers.

Hmmm, I'm not sure. I've never purchased an online version of a game before. Does EBgames keep some kind of record of the games you have purchased? They should have that info on their website if they're at all customer oriented.

I’d stick to a hard copy of the game, I don’t like this whole digital distribution thing……I picked up my copy of Thief gold for $17 USD with jewel case and manual including shipping (I had to watch for a couple of months though to find it that cheap)

I can't see why you wouldn't be able to transfer the setup files to your new computer. When you buy the game, it doesn't simply download the game in a playable format. You would have to run the setup.exe file....so as long as you backup the setup file to a CD (making it a hard copy in a sense), you can install it on any computer you wish.

As far as I know, ebgames keeps a "digital download" account that you can log into to re-obtain the games.
