What "item" do you use on the button? I haven't found anything that works. I assumed you
got access to somewhere else when you put the head on the statue and found whatever item was required there.
Okay, this is weird. I've found what we need, Master Garrett.
There's a new air hole and when you come up out of it, it looks at first like you might be back another room you were in before but it's not. There's a zombie and a haunt in it and you have to climb a ladder to the area where you find the item you need to use on the button. It's easiest to describe how to get there from the room with the ladder that you climb up to that gets you to the second ladder that takes you to the room with the button on the wall. (Is that confusing enough??) :cheeky: Jump into that hole, and just hug the left wall. You'll come to the air hole you need to find.
Either this didn't open before or I just assumed I'd gotten twisted around and had come back up into the same room I had just left! Anyway, on with the mission!

Thanks Nightwalker.... guess It's time for another dive then... ;)

:joke: I just played up to the point where you found the item (trying to help), nightwalker, and I'm glad you found it. You posted before I could reply. I couldn't remember what item to use, but now I do! :joke:
Anyway, I'm sure you'll love the rest of this mission. Aside from its bugs (which are VERY fixable), its GREAT! One of my favorites of the C5s, despite its bugs.

Thanks for trying to help, bassmanret! I must have missed that opening over and over again, as I swam around in those tunnels for a very long time!If I hadn't stumbled into the right place this last time through, I would have been very glad to have been pointed in the right direction. I was very tired of searching the same area.
I agree that it's a very entertaining mission. I've played it on all difficulty settings now (though I didn't get it to finish on Expert because of one bug. I'm going to restart and do it again!) and it has the most difference between settings of any of the missions I've played, I think. A great deal of effort was put into that and I think that's great! I wonder how many people have played it on more than one difficulty setting so they can appreciate this? Thanks very much to the anonymous author!

I don't get what to do when entering saintly gate... there seem to be no way back (the gate is now a star-filled heaven...)
And I see only a frobbable large hammer and 2 hammers and a book on the ceiling.
Also where do I find Gothus? he's not in his cell...
Master Garett on 30/3/2004 at 13:41
can't anyone help me here???:laff:
Nightwalker on 30/3/2004 at 13:43
I started over because I hit a bug so I can't help with the Saint's gate thing. Gothus is
the guy walking around the chapel that we both had so much trouble getting the hatch open to. He's dressed like a Keeper.
Master Garett,
Once inside the Saints Gate:
There's an invisible ladder between the two hammers. Just jump onto it and start climbing. When you get to the top, turn around and you'll see where to go. But, there are I believe 2 "leaps of faith" required after that. Save before you step, and you'll eventually get to where you can reach the book.
Hope that helps. :)

Thanks to both of you!!! :cheeky:
