I am not sure what bugs I have encountered and what bugs I have not. I am fairly confused. Playing in Expert, I think I have been every place mentioned in this thread. I got the nuggets in the labarynth with no problem. I found Gothus "very dead," and the objective to kill him acquired a red X. I encountered the disappearing door and stopped it from flying away using the gold hammer as a door stop. There are three things I cannot do. Please spoil me. :)
1) I cannot steal the temple's jewels. Or are the jewels the nuggets in the labarynth? I see a green elevator on the temple floor that won't work. Above it is hole with something that looks like a jewel, but I can't figure out how to get up there.
2) I got the objective to take the most valuable thing in the vault, but I am confused about where that vault is or if that objective has been spoiled, as some have experienced. Where exactly is that vault with the valuable thing?
If it is the room with the hammerites along with the water arrows, holy water, the two gems and the serpentile torq, then I guess it is spoiled.
3) I cannot figure out the clue on the wall of the temple about the chime.
I rang the large bell om the tower several times and nothing happened that I know about.
The author made a really valliant effort in this mission. I think it is just too difficult and lacking in clues. The bugs detract from it. In spite of everything, however, I have really enjoyed playing it. Along with others, I hope that the author fixes it and has it thorougly beta tested after the contest.

Peter -
1)
You have to get up above that hole in the center. When you go back to the church and ring the big bell in the tower, the ladder near the stairs moves over to a hole in the ceiling just past the stairs. It may only be there for a short time. I'm not sure so perhaps you're just taking too long to get back there? The rest of stuff you need is up there.
2) That's the right place but I could never get that objective to tick off, no matter what I tried. I just gave up, took everything and counted the mission done when I had everything else ticked off that I could.
3) Answered by #1. :)

Thanks, Nightwalker. :) Yes it was the timing. You have to make the trip quickly or the ladder moves back. I got to the ladder in three minutes, went up there, and by the time I had finished dodging the acid balls the ladder had shifted back again.
Since the most valuable thing was unobtainable, Simon's house would not check off either. I am going to bail out from this one and hope to play it again after it is fixed. :)

Questions:
1. What do i do with the hammer, the rosary beads, the suicide knife and the three books?
2. I have frobbed the bell but no sound. Is that right?
3. Which is Mr G? Is he the guy in the church with all the pews that I knocked out earlier?
4. What do I use on the toolbox and the "in-tray"?
5. How do i open the secret door next to the ladder on the way up to the "crypt" bit?
That's all for now!
Oh I forgot!
6. What is the saintly thing I have to do?
That's definitely it. This FM is way confusing.
Thanx dudes.

Lots of questions, Phillys! :)
1)
These are items you use to produce "miracles" I think I've only found 4 myself.
Take the 3 stolen books back to the Library and "use" them on the book return button.
Take the suicide knife and "use" it on the cauldron in the lobby of the bell tower building.
"Use" the hammer and then the rosary beads on the toolbox in that room above the ledge. I had to do it in that order to get it to work. Using the rosary beads first, then the hammer wouldn't register.
As for the letter tray, you need a set of letters. Get up on the archer's platform that you walk across to get into the prison area and jump over to the roof of the Warming House. Climb down the chimney and you'll find what you need.
2) There is a sound but it's very faint. Once you frobbed it
get back to the Temple room, the one where you put the Alchemy book on the pedestal at the front and the ladder at the top of the stairs will have moved so you can climb to the upper floor. Be quick though, as it doesn't stay in place for long.
4) See #1
5)
Use a fire arrow on the fire talisman and a water arrow on the water talisman. It's not big deal though because it only gets you into the lower level where the little maze is.
6)
Complete 3 of the "miracles" above and you become a saint. The Saint's gate activates then and you can go through and have a look around.
It's all so obvious now you've told me!!!!
:cheeky:
Thanx Linda.
Phillys on 3/4/2004 at 15:00
OK. So I'm now a saint etc etc. Should be able to finish now.
Just two more little questions:
1. The crow bar? What is that for?
2. The
secret door opened by firing arrows at the talismen (or taliswomen) was not the one I meant.
I meant the one above the water maze. When you jump across the platforms and go through the doorway across from the temple, if you go up two ladders there is another secret door to the left of the second ladder. There is a room behind it but how do you access it?
Oh... make that three:
3. Where is the one million prize? The loot total at the end is 1,003,000 or so.
Thanx everyone.

1)
I don't know. The only thing I found it would do was pry the boards off the stained glass windows.
2)
That's a second vault and will open at a certain point in the game on it's own.
3)
After you complete the section behind the Saint's Gate, you're teleported into the Warming house. The nugget lying at your feet is worth a LOT of money. :D
That's another way to fulfill a saintly act :)
Cheers!

Cool! Thanks, Melissa! It never occurred to me that doing that could be a good deed. I just wish there was some sort of chime or signal when you accomplish one of these so you know you've done something.
