Hi all --
I just finished replaying Calendra's Cistern. What a great mission. But I seem to recall that there was an Easter Egg hidden in this mission, something to do with the stone faces hidden in the game. After all these years, perhaps I shouldn't bother with the spoiler tags... But I found no mention of it in the excellent walkthrough. I also watched the first 15 minutes or so of klatremus's supreme ghost video of this mission and he made no mention of it either (I didn't watch the whole clip though -- it's over 4 hours long :) BTW, what a great idea, thank you klatremus! So is there a secret hidden there or am I just imagining or misremembering things?

There are a couple of stone faces (they look like skulls). I've only noticed two - one is in the passage (close to the speed potion) in the arch above the 'old lich gate' (in the square you start in), the other is on the wooden tile you stand on in order to fire a rope arrow to get up to the observatory.
I've read somehwere that there may be one or two more of these skulls, and finding them could be seen as an esater egg maybe...
There is also a plaque that celebrates Looking Glass Studios, which could be regarded as a nice little extra. You can find it by a statue when you are about to enter Weeping Angel Tavern from the rooftops.

Yeah I remember the two stone faces and the plaque you're talking about jiansonz. Can't recall anything else. My video is from about a year ago, and my memory has never been my strong point, so don't be surprised if you keep watching and find more. But there is no "official" easter egg. Glad you enjoyed the first 15 minutes Roz :D

Hi klatremus -- your YouTube account has been up and running for over a year -- I feel like I've been living under a rock :cheeky:
I spotted three skulls / faces. I stopped when I saw the first one (inside the lich gate) and started thinking, there's something to these skulls but I can't remember what...but obviously not?
They are really suspiciously placed though. One is embedded in a rather curious way in the roof tiles next to the bell tower. That's three I spotted during the replay (I wasn't really looking for them though).

is awkwardly place there. Wonder if there is a fourth one?
Also, someone mentioned a 4th gas arrow but I've never found more than 3 (and that includes the one for sale). Red herring?

I never noticed these, though I played it like 50 times.
There's a very cool Easter egg in Calendra's Legacy, the Winter's Eve mission - a batch of 100 fire arrows
But it's in a pretty remote and hidden place, difficult access, and then you have to figure out how to spawn it

I never found more than 3. I've played the mission 5-6 times I think.

checking Dromed these skulls are not linked to anything, nor do they have any 'destroy' cmd's. also according to powerups listing there are only 3 gas arrows in the mission
