OK, i'm playing CL for the second time now and I did something stupid.
I went through the teleport in Ahryn's tomb while holding the rubble from the first corridor. Now I can't leave the tomb, because I don't have anything to put on the pressure plate which opens the exit. I've already looted the skull, so when I try to alert it, the game crashes (common bug, as I remember). Is there any way I can leave?
I really should remember not to use only quicksaves... :o

Pick up a save just before you looted the skull, or if you have a clean one for just after, pick up the little stone in the right rear corner of the room. This will drop a load of rubble on the altar.
Use one of these rocks to trigger the exit panel, or climb the ladder that is exposed.

The point is I don't have any other save :(
With this one, I can't frob that stone without alerting the skull, and that leads to a crash.
Also, triggering the main exit with the rubble from above the altar would be impossible too, for the same reason I got into this anyway - there is no way to carry rocks from the main tomb section to the entrance section, since the only ways are two teleports, both of them frob-triggered.
Oh well, i guess I'll have to start over...

Hi all, first post so if I make any mistakes please be gentle.
First off, Purah & team calendra have made the best FM I have ever seen, much kudos
Second I have spotted something and I'm having a lot of trouble getting to it, I haven't found anything in the previous posts so I'm going to ask here.
I'm not sure if this is a spoiler so I'm going to stick it all in a spoiler box just to be safe
OK I've got the garden gate key and got into the garden with the scarecrow, looted it, and on my way out I looked at the cliffs through the hole in the wall where all the vines are, I spotted a water arrow just at the back of the cottage roof where it meets the cliffs.
So being the avaricious person that I am I've decided I MUST HAVE THIS ARROW :ebil:
I've tried mantling the cliffs, climbing on rocks and jumping, sneaking a crate out of Murkbell and using this with the one from in front of the gates to climb up using the drop/jump technique, tried climbing trees, jumped on to all the ivy just in case it was climbable, took a speed potion and did a running jump from the Lampfire level and even tried getting onto the cottage using the crates and rocks.
But I can't seem to find a way up there :grr: , anybody else know a way ? I'm probably missing something really simple and obvious, hmmmm the hole in the ceiling filled with rubble at the entrance to Arkhyns tomb might be a way .... Think I'll go investigate that a bit, sorry if I've answered my own question but just in case I haven't I'll post it anyway
thanks for bearing with me

And another brilliant idea bites the dust, however while scouting round
I spotted something golden the far right cliff as you look at the cottage
so now I gotta do it, it's not just pride anymore theres loot to be had.
Krush on 18/4/2004 at 14:29
You do indeed have to use two crates to get up there - I did it by using a crate and the stone in front of Arkhyn's tomb. You'll have to jump to the left side cliff as you're facing the tomb.
Esme on 18/4/2004 at 15:07
I assume this is from just outside the entrance ?
BTW I love you and want to bear your children, thanks for the help, I now know it can be done :thumb:
Esme on 18/4/2004 at 15:18
Just managed a long jump from the signpost to a mantle of the central cliff with the aid of a speed potion.
You try and try and try and give up and try once more just in case and it works first time and every subsequent time :nono: I've spent hours trying to get up there
I put it down to morphic resonance, once you know it can be done you can do it
Oh well got some loot out of it

I'm playing this great mission set for the first time, and I discovered one thing in mission 1 that can get you trapped:
You don't want to take that heavy stone block from the first part of Arkhyn's tomb with you into the back portion through the teleporter that lies beyond the Arch of Purple Mist. If you do, you have nothing later to place on the pressure plate to open the tomb door! As far as I can tell, there isn't a way to bring it back.
I can't
go up the grave
because Thief crashes when I
frob the stone that opens the grave (or even if I just try to jump or mantle onto the tomb
. (I have the latest patch, so that isn't the cause of the crashes, and I've seen them mentioned by others. Just some unresolved bug I guess). And I don't have a
fire arrow
left to do it from inside.
Guess I'll just do that entire section over again.
Cheers,
Martek

Well hey, when you already know what to do, it only takes a few minutes to redo that part.
I haven't seen a mention yet in any threads about this mission about how you can climb up onto the roof
of the house inside the garden.
From there you can get to all sorts of places you are probably not supposed to.
Cheers,
Martek
