I'm toward the end of Arkan's tomb (or whatever his name is), I used the silver crypt key to open a lockbox to another area. It now says that I need a "spindle of gold" to open a second lockbox, which I apparently do not have. Where do I find it???

Jysala, I hope meanwhile you managed to play the mission. I admit that after playing the mission 3 times with different approaches I too used the "nokill cheat feature", BTW it only works after starting a new game, savegames do not recognize the cheat when enabled later, just to have the city for my own to admire it entirely. It was too frustrating to never have a chance to have a closer look to anything with all the guards and / or undead on your heels.

Now I've got a serious problem. I've played CL several times but I've never had this type of bug before. [SPOILER]I'd collected all the loot and was on my way out of the tomb. When I tried climbing up the ladder out of the tomb, I got the mission fail screen. First I thought may be it had something to do with my opening the tombstone outside first, to get the silver nugget. But when I got out of the tomb the hard way, and was on my way to the inn, I got the mission fail screen again, in the street near the tombstone outside. Okay, I thought, maybe the guard saw me or something, so I tried going through the sewers all the way to the jail. Again, right in the middle of the sewers, roughly I guess at the same location, I got the mission fail screen again, with the first goal crossed out in red. [/SPOILER] What could have happened? Is there a cheat to move on to the next act? There should be but I've forgotten it.

Ctrl+alt+shift+end will finish the mission successfully. A little challenge for you now: :sly: if using this cheat you can also get all 15 pickpockets in Act 1 (the 16th and last one is a T2-bug). Without any hints or walkthroughs of course...

I had problems with this part of the mission as well. After stealing as much as I could, I just went out the way I came in, and completed it like that. (search this thread earlier on for my posts regarding that bug)

Greetings folks, Im playing this masterpiece again since not many FM's have been comeing out recently (or Ive played them and beaten them already) So Im playing again on "Expert" but have hit a snag on the first mission.
[SPOILER]Im at the 3 chest, and have opened one to get the gold key. Problem is, the one on the right will explode and my lockpicks dont open it, and the one in the middle will choke me to death. Did I miss something? thanks for any help[/SPOILER]

If I remenber correctly the right chest is plain open. Having any lockpick active brings no result. Pick the left chest, get key, just 'right click' the right chest with no object active(!) opens wall. Leave the middle completely untouched. This should work.
